  1. But those should still have doping tests.
  2. Not that big if I'm not mistaken. Don't get me wrong, I don't think their method is the perfect method, but they have chosen for a specific approach (with algorythms) so they can't just throw in some personal opinions as well. Of course things like non-qualifiers are mistakes, but they always try to fix those as soon as they hear of them. For what it's worth, I still think to get a realistic medal table you just can not only name the gold, silver and bronze medal winners
  3. And then Totallympics would make a medal table and I can 100% guarantee that 1.) there will be people on Totallympics who say "this will 100% sure not happen" and 2.) there will be people outside Totallympics who say it's a terrible prediction
  4. That's 30-something people who mostly specialise in a few sports vs basically 1 person, maybe 2, and his mathematical algorythms And to be fair, apparently 4 years ago they got close to the real result, so the real bullshit is saying that their predicted medal table is bullshit (not saying you do, by the way)
  5. Yes, mistakes like these can happen when trying to track 300+ events I already pointed the main man behind it to this specific thread because there's useful info here
  6. Is it possible to join multiple leagues?
  7. Triple jumper Fabian Florant jumped 16,92m in Clermont this weekend, breaking his personal and the Dutch national record by 25cm and more importantly, passing the standard for the Olympics (16,85m) I did NOT see that coming! And that's just awesome, he will be the first Dutch triple jumper at the Olympics since Hitler's Olympics in 1936
  8. I thought that was weeks ago Well still a happy day wished for the Orthodox people who have their egg searching day today And just as important, enjoy the eggs
  9. Well that was 3 and a half hours of one of the craziest NASCAR-races I've ever seen Fantastic racing at the Talladega Superspeedway, including fair and hard fights but also hard crashes and flying cars (but everybody ok)
  10. Crap Ferrari engine, Verstappen was on his way to an easy and huge 6th place finish until that engine blew
  11. I think maybe her 23th in the World Cup last season isn't the most "real" result. I mean, not showing all that she can, because maybe she already wasn't fully motivated anymore to give 100% in every training..
  12. They don't always ignore them, they mostly just miss them because indeed it's hard to follow all news of so many athletes. Like Stefecekova...I'm sure Slovak people know she's pregnant, but outside Slovakia, I think there is almost nobody in the world who has a clue Same for athletes in "minor sports" from other "minor nations" like The Netherlands. They are open to suggestions though. Usually if you tweet them saying "this or that athlete didn't qualify/retired/is pregnant" etc, they'll see if they can change it for their next update.
  13. Just to move this here No, not a word! I sent her a message on Facebook and the same for the Guamese shooting federation, both read it but didn't reply. That's not how you treat fans!
  14. Interesting race anyway, all 5 Gambian competitors finished outside the time limit in the first, one and a half hour stage
  15. I'm confused about these points, but how many would UAE have had if Otakuziyeva missed that last attempt?
  16. Thanks! I'll get to work on updating the list after the weekend. I'm not sure about Otto, mostly because he hasn't even been competing since 2014..
  17. And in the end, this is the most important point of view. If she doesn't feel the motivation for XC anymore and apparently already has that in mind for a long time, staying in XC would only make her less motivated to train hard, making her results less, making her motivation even worse and so on. If biathlon gives her back her motivation to give everything for her sports career, it's the right choice
  18. Stage 4 of the Tour of Senegal earlier this week was cancelled......because the riders and police got lost in the final kilometers African sports organization at it's best
  19. If Brazil even qualifies for the QF, which definitely isn't a given
  20. The World Cup in Hyeres these days will decide the Dutch boat in the women's 49erFX. Bekkering/Duetz are world class and perform way better than Keijzer/Blom in basically every major competition. However, Keijzer/Blom performed better in some internal qualification and so they have the main right to take the quota. However - again - Keijzer/Blom did NOT yet comply with the national standards set by the Dutch Olympic Committee, whereas Bekkering/Duetz already did so a million times. Basically the result is this: if Keijzer/Blom reach the national standard in Hyeres, they'll go to Rio. If not, Bekkering/Duetz will go to Rio. To do so, Keijzer/Blom have to be in the top-6 of the standings - counting only one boat per nation and counting the other Dutch boat. If they don't make it, Bekkering/Duetz will go. Me and other Dutch fans are very much hoping Keijzer/Blom don't make it, because they didn't have any impressive result so far, whereas Bekkering/Duetz are world class by now. With them we could win a medal, with Keijzer/Blom we'd need a miracle to medal.
  21. +75kg group B just finished with the snatch and surprise surprise, one UAE girl is actually 1kg ahead of the girl from Iraq Edit: Never mind, the UAE girls are the only ones in +75kg, the rest is acting in 75kg which they combined because of the lack of competitors
  22. Bruna Moura and Gabi Neres will represent Brazil for the first time ever at this year's Summer Biathlon World Championships in Otepää, Estonia Also, if qualifying for the biathlon World Championships in Hochfilzen doesn't happen, they'll go to the Nordic World Championships in Lahti if they reached the qualifying standards for those championships
  23. That's a shame, I'd love if UAE actually pulls it off, just to show the flaw in this system
