  1. It really depends on the country. For example here in the Netherlands only a handful of shops still give out 1-2 cents, most of them don't and you don't often get them anymore. And @konig: Ignore the 'only the 1 euro is useful' part please It's not true, 2 euro is just as useful, and so is 50 cent (the coin, the singer is in fact useless)
  2. Grand Dragons, Hydras, Great Titans, Grand Giants, Goblins, Grand Cyclopses, Ghouls, Great Councils of Centaurs, Aliens. It was all very serious. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ku_Klux_Klan_titles_and_vocabulary
  3. I've also heard about a rider taking a pee against the wind, not realizing the race director's car was right behind him. Race director stuck his head through the window in the roof right when the rider started peeing, which then went on to splash violently against the front window of the car, up in the race directors face. So yeah, take care
  4. Bye bye 6 times Olympic gold medal winner and 39 times world champion Ryan Lochte
  5. Yeah because we win a lot of medals in weightlifting
  6. Athletics, road cycling, weightlifting....and then it gets hard I mean, I kinda like almost all of them, but the sports I follow and watch much more closely are a ton of motorsports (from MotoGP to F1 and NASCAR and IndyCar and Formula 3 and whatnot) and stuff like darts. I guess I'll add swimming (even though I am annoyed by that being so incredibly small besides championships) and I like gymnastics too, so let's choose that
  7. DONALD TRUMP HAS GOTTEN A LITTLE ANGRY AND OPENED HIS TWITTER IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT ADULT BOYS AND PRESIDENTS DO.
  8. Here we are well on the way to break 1976's record for most dry year ever. Still some weeks to go to actually break it, but we're now slowly getting above the line needed to break that record. When I look at the next two weeks, there's exactly one day with rain....like 1mm The good thing is that second half is now showing maximum temperatures which are below 30 degrees every day, I hadn't noticed that! Yesterday that was all showing 31-33 degrees, every single day, this looks a bit more positive
  9. Yep, always the first thing I try when I'm in another country is if the water seems drinkable So far everywhere in Europe I've been it was no problem (although in Barcelona it had kind of a disgusting chorine-like taste ), in Brazil it wasn't a great idea. I guess mostly athletes from less rich countries were positively surprised, at least for Europeans it must have been rather normal
  10. Stunned as in, positively surprised?
  11. I was just gonna ask if anyone is interested in exchanging weather I am not a fan of days when 30 degrees is reached at 10am That time of year when you wish you were someone from a tropical country who is likely to be more used to this weather
  12. [hide] Men's Tournament Knockout Round July 22nd - July 28th, 2018 16 Nations, Placement Matches, Quarterfinals Play-Offs, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Bronze Medal Match and Gold Medal Match Quarterfinals Date & Time (GMT +2) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 July 24th 2018, h. 17:00 Serbia 3 Hungary July 24th 2018, h. 18:30 Spain 3 Greece July 24th 2018, h. 20:30 Croatia 2 Montenegro July 24th 2018, h. 22:00 Italy 4 Russia [/hide]
  13. Isn't that made from iron?
  14. So there's this whole problem about woods and forests being cut down and then what? Turns out the 'loneliest person on earth' is out there bringing down trees I demand protests against him!
  15. Well yeah, it's like a cyclist who moves to Astana or Quick-Step or something, it makes you fly
  16. Wait, I forgot something: apart from his racism allegations, hanging on to the car at world champs and now trying to hit Gesbert (one kilometer or something after the start ) he also got in trouble for allegedly making Reichenbach fall on purpose
  17. Ha, you guys are all way too late
  18. Bye bye Moscon After the racism allegations and later hanging on to the car at the world championships ('doing a Nibali'), this time he is thrown out of the Tour de France for making a 'hitting move' towards Elie Gesbert.
  19. Elena Vallortigara What a competition! Not only jumping 2.00 for the first time in her life, but following it up with 2.02m!
  20. Schippers After that magic move from heptathlon to pure sprinting, she changed to American coach Rana Reider early last year and since then she seems to be going backwards. Literally, almost. Earlier this year she was out of breath.....in the 100 meters (whereas usually the 200m, specifically the last part, is her strength). Now in Londen in the last 30 meters she lost like 5 places. But no, not a single word about 'Maybe, juuuust maybe working with Reider is not going fantastic', because then she gets angry
  21. Having good legs and trying an attack?
  22. As expected Izagirre lost his cool.
  23. Cort Nielsen in perfect pole position to win the stage, basically only a screw-up can cost him the win.
