  1. That moment you look at a GIF and when you turn your eyes away again you realize it's 3 hours later.
  2. Morning is fine too, like Pyeongchang I mean, I like when it starts anywhere between 23:00 and 01:00, generally speaking, because then most of the sports day is in a time when at least here there won't be people awake asking for your attention Plus when it's over halfway in the afternoon, that leaves plenty of time for stuff like stocking up in the supermarket, which is hard when the Olympics are in Europe (since then the supermarkets are closed outside of the sports hours )
  3. Yes, they are. However: Look again They added a whole new women's event (that's not even 'a thing' yet apart from youth competition, but ok, I guess we'll be seeing women's monobob in the World Cup from now on, surely otherwise it wouldn't have been added so rapidly?)
  4. A little context would be helpful
  5. Popcorn for what? Having the Olympics mostly in the night is awesome
  6. If the rollerskiing with my girlfriend last month is any indication, I should be able to hold on to that one minute lead for at least 62 seconds.
  7. His skiing style is a little too agressive for me to trust him with a rifle
  8. And apart from visibility, I'm pretty sure it's not exactly helpful to ride through thick, toxic smoke when competing at the very limit of the human body, with heart rates basically at or near it's maximum and trying to get every bit of oxygen molecules you can get into your system. But no, flares are great.
  9. Absolutely. That video from behind was awful, the motor riders just disappeared into nothing and so did the riders only a few meters in front of the camera.
  10. Maybe I can convince Mesotitsch to make a comeback. And heck if Brazil can get a young Austrian to compete for them due to one of his parents being Brazilian, surely there's some Austrian with decent biathlon talent and a Dutch parent?
  11. It's hard to see exactly who causes it, but it's very close to some people waving the flag of a Dutch province. As expected, Dutch people bringing shame on Alpe d'Huez. Can't the Tour just stay away from this mountain for the next 10 years at least? Edit: Wait, it's a Luxembourg lion flag. Still my point about the Dutch stands.
  12. So due to moronic 'fans', what a surprise! Wow, did not see that coming!
  13. Maybe if I manage to get a top-8 in the World Cup
  14. I'm gonna learn how to shoot a biathlon rifle then...
  15. Yep, same here, but I'm dying to know exactly how they're planning on making qualifying for the non top-20/25 nations even more impossible.
  16. Does anyone have any clue when qualifying criteria (for biathlon mostly) might be published?
  17. Interesting evening for young Serbian Andrija Majdevac
  18. Greipel has said many riders have been holding on to cars on the climbs. "But if I can't get to the finish in time on my own, I'd rather go home than hanging on to the cars."
  19. Once upon a time 10 hours ago, Rein Taaramäe was a once slightly promising GC rider now standing in 4th place in the mountains classification after some pretty decent stages, including 3rd in Le Grand-Bornand two days ago. Today he finished outside the time limit.
  20. Slightly painful for the home nation...
  21. Exactly! US Postal at Alpe d'Huez 2003 From around 10 seconds
  22. Apparently Nibali got his time back from the jury. Now we wait for Vuillermoz to get his Tour de France back from the jury, after also falling because of idiots on the side of the road Plus I'm guessing this means every single time a rider falls due to spectators, they will now get their time back.
