  1. That's a rather....generous amount of fish for the winner. Badum tss.
  2. How is there any truth in that, considering by far most French players were born in France, for starters? Pogba and Mbappé, to name two examples, were just as much born in France as Hernandez or Griezmann, to name two other players with a foreign background who are strangely almost always excluded from the lists of 'foreign players' in the team.
  3. Reminds me of 2010, where the Dutch team lost the final and then got a parade through Amsterdam's canals....like the team that won Euro 1988 That caused quite some critical voices to emerge In my opinion they should have done it in the way Croatia is being welcomed back, much better
  4. "Our team is world champion, let's break stuff and throw in store windows." Surprise
  5. Assaulting a trainer for a little joke, assaulting and abusing his fiancee...if only the problem was being a 'not so disciplined athlete'. Well, dying at 35 is a sad thing indeed.
  6. Dutch broadcaster used this song every day when the final broadcast of the day ended and this song was played under a compilation of the highlights of the day, and now it's all stuck in my head
  7. His Wikipedia makes for quite an interesting read...
  8. Not exactly. There's a huge difference between administrations like Nazi Germany, military junta's and so on on one side, and an extreme political correctness where free speech is almost gone (because if you say 'boo!', someone is gonna fight you on that and say it's *insertbadthing*) on the other side. Like so many things nowadays, people seem to forget that there's a way in the middle.
  9. Nope I knew I was forgetting someone but couldn't get the name, as so often happens
  10. Yeah but @frenchuserwhotellspeopletofuckoff didn't work, so here we are.
  11. Yes, Suarez didn't dive at all!
  12. Be that as it may, my point stands: Trump is, factually speaking, the president of every American citizen. Whether any one random individual likes it or not
  13. And there we have the user I couldn't get the name of to congratulate earlier on in this thread So, here we go: congratulations!
  14. Saw that one before and still find it annoying that they also put Croatian flags on/near French territories
  15. Surely they can, but as long as they're not, the winner is the one who wins the elections with the system that is in place. If you can only win the Olympic 400m gold medal by making a backwards somersault over the finish, that sucks, but if that's the rule beforehand, it's clear for everyone and the winner is the one who does that
  16. I thought Germany would be a strong candidate for that.
  17. That whole system is strange, but it's been in place well before these elections. It's not like the rules changed suddenly. Trump won these elections, and is the president of each and every American citizen, regardless whether or not any one random citizen is happy with that or not. Fight him with facts? That is a fact.
  18. Congrats on the winners, and now it's hoping someone like @chrischi08 actually comes on Totallympics as an active member instead of just being here to post predictions, feel free to feel welcome
  19. But not with stuff like "you're not welcome here" and "not our president!1!1". Because yes, he is the president of every American citizen.
  20. And kissed the World Cup.
  21. Rain doesn't make Putin wet, Putin makes the rain wet.
  22. If you have one umbrella and there are 4 people/presidents, one of them being Putin....yeah, I'd keep it above Putin No offense to the rest but I'd like to get out of the country alive
  23. The "Do not disturb" sign is already hanging on their hotel room door.
  24. Still, a country that would actually refuse him into their country would be just as bad as he is. Refusing him is just doing what he does, it's no different than his words like "we need to arm people to defend against gun violence."
