  1. Excellent. Also, is it possible to mark every new event as 'read' in one click? Instead of just unread threads, every artistic swimming event in the world for next year is being shown in the list with 'Unread content', which kinda makes it impossible to see the things that actually are unread. (I know there's a filter where one can select just threads/topics instead of events, but 50 extra clicks per day is gonna be annoying )
  2. Those heats are not even shown here (unless Eurosport shows it and former swimmer Inge Dekker is the co-commentator and gets all giggly and confused with the main commentator about these nations )
  3. I especially liked the way she managed to fuck up the moment of a young player's first Grand Slam win by making even that be all about her, wonderful athlete.
  4. I really need to make a list and add something to it every time something happens, because I watched way too much to be able to recall everything These kind of threads for me are mostly a matter of reading and thinking "ah yeah, that's true!"
  5. Still catching up on last weekend's boxing Which I have 30 minutes to do for, because then it's time for darts, the run from the 3rd round to the final of the World Championships on 1 January. Today it's still ok, tomorrow the traditional end of December/beginning of January madness starts with darts, alpine skiing, speed skating, Tour de Ski, Four Hills Tournament and so on.
  6. Yeah, pea soup (or 'erwtensoep/snert') is very much Dutch indeed, I like it (depending on how it's made, I like the one my mom makes, like almost everyone likes the one their mom makes ) As for meat: I have nothing against vegetarians, but I am a big carnivore. You can wake me up for a good steak in the middle of the night
  7. But they didn't beat everyone Just like Gisin and Maze in Sochi: it took four years until we had 'the Olympic women's downhill champion' because of their tie, meaning nobody was able to beat everyone I'm fine with ties for silver or bronze, but I hate ties for gold.
  8. I just find it really boring when nobody can say they are "the Olympic champion". I can't wait for 2022 and 2-man finally having one real Olympic champion pair
  9. I would use this extra plate when one dish made my plate dirty, so I can eat the next dish from a clean plate
  10. Although to be fair, I don't think @fischernordic needs to remember Burundi/Burkina Faso, Dominican Republic/Dominica (except for the infamous couple) or Iraq/Iran
  11. Especially this one, because for some reason at least here people from both countries are (grammatically correct) called the same
  12. Team of the year is a tie for me: Sweden's male biathlon team and Belarus' female biathlon team Disappointment of the year: Justin Kripps and Francesco Friedrich sharing the 2-man bobsleigh Olympic gold Moment of the year: Ester Ledecka's super-G gold, and the combination of the German commentary and Ledecka's reaction after the finish / the snowboard gold was kinda expected, I found that much less interesting even though she made history LOL-moment of the year: Marit Bjoergen at the 30km classic at the Olympics Biggest idiot of the year 1: Without any doubt, Romano Fenati and his actions in Moto2, he has no place whatsoever in the sport because one day, someone's going to get killed because of him Biggest idiot of the year 2: Neymar at the World Cup (or in general). Everyone knew he is an insane crybaby, but at the World Cup it went to new and terrible standards, children all over the world will imitate that crap 'because Neymar does it' Biggest idiot of the year 3: Serena Williams in the US Open final, where even after winning a gazillian Grand Slam titles she just had to steal the thunder of a young first-time winner by acting like a spoiled brat when she lost
  13. Yesterday night (but probably today again, and tomorrow when we're visiting the whole family ), with the main part being a good-sized barbecued piece of picanha @vinipereira @thiago_simoes There was also some salad, green beans wrapped in bacon, carpaccio for starters and some sort of potatoes baked in the oven. And 'bell pepper soup' which is not the favourite of someone like me who does not like bell pepper
  14. Cool Although it sounds way too formal for my tasting, like it's the royal freaking family Here it's mostly about enjoying the time, having fun and laughing a lot and nobody cares if person A or person B gets up to pick something
  15. After many years I finally lost my 180-virginity (for you darts fans, for non-fans: 180 is the maximum score and I finally got it )
  16. We had a good dinner and then opened some presents We usually don't really do the presents thing, but since my girlfriend is here again after a half year, we all got a ton of small (and mostly very tasty) presents for her
  17. Just sharing this famous Dutch Christmas song which is being played on the radio a lot every year around Christmas. It has English subtitles, so take a listen/look, although it's a little sad
  18. Especially Moser winning is kinda insane, in senior competition she never got close to a podium or something yet and then she won And check the competitiveness of the race, more than a handful within 7 seconds and the entire podium within one second
  19. Not sure if that's the one, but it was 2007 indeed
