    Danish TV decided to cut away to show the semi final of the K1 1000m. I'm furious!

    A slightly bad start for Hansen in the time trial. I believe he would have beaten Gaviria had he started better. Maybe even Viviani and O'shea though I doubt it.

    Wow. Just read that Jess Draskau-Petersson ran the marathon with her left shoe loose and still she equaled her best marathon result!

    Stenson's 2nd place has put him up one place on the World Ranking making him no. 4 (overtaking McIlroy). Justin Rose moves back into the top 10 and Kuchar back into top 15.

    Not trying to make excuses (it was just a bad race by Lasse), but when they have about an hour, even 15 minutes can make a noticable difference. But of course, in general it is tough with the scheduling and makes it even more impressive (some would say suspicious) that Boudat could just keep on sprinting round after round.

    About 5 minutes into the session and Bolt has already been mentioned at least 5 times. This will be tough for me...

    The first riders has about half an hour extra for restitution. Makes a lot of difference, when they get this little time.

    I guess that's a nail to the coffin of the idea that omnium is riders who are mediocre at all. Olympic record (though of course individual pursuit hasn't been in the Olympics since 2008)
