Disappointment in the Danish jury After several hours of discussing, it finally seemed like the Danish jury had managed to agree. "A song has been selected and we're expecting to announce it in an hour or so", the chairman, Agger, happily stated 10 minutes ago. But the joy was short. The technicians working on the presentation, lead by Mattias (who looks stangely much like Agger), announced a few minutes later that no video was found that was useful for the presentation. Therefore the jury has once again locked the doors and will try to find a new song. It could be by the same artist, but 4 artists have been in considerations, meaning that another one could get the shot.

And there goes Rex Tillerson! Though I was in no way a fan of the appointment and think he was pretty bad as secretary of state, I don't feel confident about Pompeo being any better!

No solution in sight? After about 2½ hours of meeting, the Danish jury still haven't found any solution and will therefore take a lunch break. Chairman of the jury, Agger, was seen leaving the meeting room angry walking towards the cafeteria, while none of the other jury members have left the room most likely meaning that either they are trying to find a solution without him, maybe even meaning a coup or that he is indeed the only member of the jury. We will keep on following the situation!

Will Denmark ever decide? As the final meeting of the Danish jury has started, reports state that no agreement is in sight. Though most jury members came smiling to the meeting, several unnamed members have told other unnamed people that things aren't going well between the members. The growing jury of more or less identical persons have never really seemed to be able to work together, but somehow still manage to find a solution, participating in all editions of the Song Contes and even more impressively leading the committee of countries voting for the winner every single time, making people speculate on whether the Danish jury members are actually controlling the entire contest. It is also still speculated whether the growing number of members are identical twins, clones or just the same person working under different personas. Everything about the jury chaired by "Agger" is questionable, but right now there are nothing to do but wait and see if he/they can decide ...

The Danish jury will be having their final meeting tomorrow to decide!

I was personally considering doing the same and thought about doing it when the qualifying systems are out So yeah, plenty of interest

I'm not completely sure, but I guess it's about trying to prevent a boring race where it's just a bunch staying together.

Rather interesting choice and it would be huge for Danish movies to have an Oscar winner in one of the "production" categories. Would be the first since 1931.

Rather interesting. I have some friends who had their flight to Accra cancelled this week. They managed to get a hotel, though.

I know that it's on Swedish TV (SVT1), but other than that I don't know.

slightly overweight though I've lost almost 5 kilos this year and am expecting to go down to normal weight (in BMI) before the end of the year.

Haven't been able to follow Melodifestivalen much this year, but I have heard the finalists and som of the songs in andra chancen and I'm indeed not very impressed. But sadly I feel that more and more the last few years.

I'm at 12 songs from 4 different artists in very different genres. Will take some time!

Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Nikolaj Sørensen have decided that they will represent Canada in the future with the 2022 Olympics as their ultimate goal. So sad, but understandable as they live and train in Canada making a change of Laurence's nationality unlikely. Due to this, they will stop competing on an international level for a year.

Good start with the team pursuit in the top 4 (at least)
