  1. Mixed Team entries may come from athletes entered in Mixed Team quota places obtained at the 2018 WCH Changwon, KOR and from double starters who are also entered in individual events.
  2. A rather discussed situation in Danish football. By losing the match, SønderjyskE ends up in an easier group (The Danish league splits up after 26 rounds. Top 6 fights for the Championship while the other 8 are split into 2 groups where the last 2 in each group will fight for relegation). 1-1 close to the end of the match and this happens. Just bad defence or losing on purpose?
  3. That is indeed interesting. Could understand it, if they didn't want byes, but considering that they already have such in the team contests that doesn't seem like the reason.
  4. I guess @Mkbw50 can when he's online (or one of the admins)

  9. So. About 3 hours of music for my writing tomorrow (I like doing my first listen in one straight without doing much considerations)
  10. I just feel that the best way for me to get Danish users is giving them the best overview of the Danish qualification and then making people aware of it. I've tried to get sports interested friends and also people from a couple of sports forums to get aware of the site, but we haven't had another active Danish member (who have done more than posting a few places and then disappeared) since the new site. Also if it's just for discussing, I feel that the "Road to Tokyo 2020" heading would be pretty weird. I surely wouldn't mind having it in the header, as I won't be using it for anything else, but if it's just for discussing anything sports related, it will be so much more than the Olympics. I'll stop here. Have to get back to writing my paper
  11. Wouldn't it be better to let people from smaller countries (Totallympics-wise) do whatever they can (also copying news or results) considering that there aren't a lot of possible discussions when there are only one or 2 members. I can at least say that unless some sudden surge of Danish members happen, the only activity in the Danish national thread will be me trying to follow the national qualification by posting results and rankings. I like talking with myself, but on text it's just sad
  12. Well. In theory that could be solved by having two national threads. A discussion thread for people to discuss or maybe share news in their own language and a national qualification thread where people could focus on this. Personally I've never really seen the big reason in the national threads for discussing in own languages, but maybe that's just because I have no Danes to discuss with (and even if I had, Denmark has a pretty high level of English), but meanwhile the national qualifications are very interesting to me.
  13. Just watched Bakken Bears - BC Ventspils in the FIBA Europe Cup!
  14. So who will create a playlist (with up to 17 pages left to write on my paper that I want to finish sunday, it's sadly not gonna be me)

  18. Tomorrow it's time for one of the main events of the season, All England!
  19. Joining the Winter Olympics bandwagon! But well, the song is about wanting to escape into the wilderness and longing for a place in nature. Though we do have some decent forests, it's nothing compared to our neighbours, where there are much better chances to escape "the real world"
  20. Myrkur - Ulvinde Lyrics: Ja med ondt skal ondt fordrives I en svunden krop Buret inde som et dyr de lukker aldrig op Fanget i en dårekiste, drypper af mit blod Mørkets trofaste lakajer lænket til min fod Norge Norge Norge Solen er gået bort I nattens regn og vind Min barndoms tunge port Låst i mit kolde sind Langt ned i de dybe dale Der spejler sig i søen Det er her at jeg vil leve, det er her at jeg vil dø Under flodens askegrene finder jeg min sjæl Skyggerne forstenes, lyset slår dem jo ihjel Norge Norge Norge English: Yes, by evil, evil must be fought in a bygone body Caged like an animal, they never open up Caught in a madhouse, dripping my blood The loyal lackeys of the darknes, chained to my foot Norway Norway Norway The sun has gone away In the rain and wind of the night The heavy gate of my childhood Locked in my cold mind Far down the deep valleys mirroring in the lake This is where I wanna live, this is where I wanna die Under the ash branches of the river I find my soul The shadows are being petrified, the light is killing them Norway Norway Norway
  21. Good evening ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the presentation of the Danish song for the TAISC 2018. Though the Danish jury has more or less been the same all through the years, we have been able to send different artists every time spanning a bunch of different genres. Now we will add another one. The results haven't always been as we hoped for, but we have kept fighting. From Kashmir to Sort Sol, we have been proud of all our contestants. And we are this year as well. It was hard to pick. 4 very different artists/groups were in the pot. A song was selected, but exept for a couple of mediocre live recordings of half the song, it wasn't possible to find it on youtube. Other songs by the same band were considered, but most of the songs on the shortlist weren't on youtube. But we haven't given up on them. They may be back again, maybe even for the next open contest as more of their older stuff are on youtube. Therefore we decided to let another artist participate. It comes from a genre that I usually don't listen to, but the latest album from this artist has truly caught my attention. With a magnificent voice and a fantastic mix of the tough sounds of the metal and the more mystical, folkinspired vokals, we have one of the greatest Danish editions to a musical niche for a long time. It is therefore my honour to present the song from Denmark... Wait for it...
