  1. and finally China get a Gold medal (in the women's team sabre)... in this same weapon, unlucky draw for Iran, who had to face KOR already in the quarterfinals... in the men's team foil, instead, continues the bad championship for Japan (only Bronze for them) and the great championship for HKG (once again in the big final)... more updates to come...
  2. @mrv86 thanks for your help with the final results...
  3. It looks like the scoring system has stopped working once again in the middle of the men's team foil quarterfinals... so, I guess we're gonna have some delay before we see the final results of today's events...
  4. Men's Team Foil Final Results: Gold: South Korea Silver: Hong Kong Bronze: Japan Semifinals: South Korea b. Australia 45-36 Hong Kong b. Japan 45-40 Bronze Medal Match: Japan b. Australia 45-31 Gold Medal Match: South Korea b. Hong Kong 45-39 Here is the Full Final Ranking (and Results) from Today's competition: http://fie.org/competitions/2018/1018/results/rank
  5. Women's Team Sabre Final Results: Gold: China Silver: South Korea Bronze: Kazakhstan Semifinals: South Korea b. Hong Kong 45-30 China b. Kazakhstan 45-28 Bronze Medal Match: Kazakhstan b. 6. I'm pretty sure that the Spanish TV channel Teledeporte (you can watch it also in live streaming, normally no VPN needed, but in case, even a free one like Hola works perfectly) will broadcast the Med Games 24h/day (or close to that)...
  7. and once again "only" Silver with men's Foil and no medal with a different weapon... definitely not the championship someone would expect from Italy... let's hope it's just a bad week...
  8. I hope that also the women's sabre team gets a chance...they've been good in the individual event and I think they deserve an important stage like the AG, where they could shine...
  9. I guess they have troubles with official communications, since there's also no live scoring due to poor internet connection at the venue (which is the main indoor arena in Cuba, by the way)... at least some info are available through the social networks in a reasonable time...
  10. in the men's Sabre, today Iran couldn't stop the Koreans from getting the triple (Gold, Silver & Bronze)... meanwhile, Hong Kong had their greatest day ever in the women's epee, winning good 2 medals (Gold & Bronze) in 1 single event... so, the individual events are over...and Korea are already on top of the medal table with 3 Gold medals, followed by a surprising Hong Kong team (2 Gold medals for them ) and Japan (only 1 Gold medal for the Country of the Rising Sun)... almost untouchable the presence of China... completely invisible all the other Nations (except for the "classic" men's epee medal by KAZ)...
  11. Vecchi... she basically destroyed all that her teammates built... I don't know why they insist on her when we have a lot of youngsters who are already better than her...

  19. WTF...that's an absolute farce... hope someone would sue FIBA for this sh*t...
  20. 2018 world champs and Japan are not directly qualified, I guess... at least, the .pdf file seems to suggest that... http://www.fiba.basketball/womens-calendar-timeline for what I understand from it, almost all the teams from the continental champs will go through to the regional OQT, which will determine the 16 teams that will play for the 12 Olympic spots (Europe will not play the regional OQT, but will send directly to the world OQT the top 6 of Eurobasket 2019)... p.s. remember that we're talking of Women's Basketball only...
  21. on the other side, congrats to Hartung (it was time for him to get back to success) and, above all, to the amazing Estonian girls, who made history earlier today...
  22. sadness and disgust... this what I feel right now if I think about these European Champs for what concerns Italy... shame! shame! shame!
  23. Curatoli is still in play, but the other Italians are out also in the men's sabre... definitely, these Europeans so far are very disappointing for us... by the way, the quarterfinals in the men's sabre are: Hartung (GER) vs Szilagy (HUN), S. Bazadze (GEO) vs Curatoli (ITA) in the top half of the draw and Ibragimov (RUS) vs Statsenko (UKR), Seitz (FRA) vs Danilenko (RUS) in the bottom half...
  24. it looks we have a problem with women's foil...all scoring systems have stopped working in the early rounds of that competition... who knows when we'll know how it went? well, this time it wasn't a very long wait... all fixed now...
