  1. ok, now it's really over... and once again Sweden escape the swiss problem...
  2. p.s. they should set some kind of time limit on executing a penalty...
  3. no way...Switzerland just can't handle Sweden when it comes to penalties in sports played with a stick...
  4. p.s. let's keep track of these words... especially when in a few months we get an announcement about e-sports suddenly and immediately becoming part of the core disciplines of the Olympic program...
  5. yes... Bronze Medal matches start @ 2 a.m. CET, Gold Medal matches start @ 8 a.m. CET unfortunately, there's no official/legal world streaming nor TV coverage...the only chance could be Chinese TV/online portals, which are basically impossible to follow from Europe (at least, from Italy)...
  6. the Beachwaver Maui Pro tournament ended just a few hours ago the women's WSL 2018 season... Carissa Moore (Hawai'i) won this last tournament, meanwhile Stephanie Gilmore did take the Tour Title home... out of 10 competitions, Gilmore won 3, meanwhile Moore (Hawai'i), Lakey Peterson and Courtney Conlogue won 2 each... the only non US/AUS victory went to Johanne Defay in the least important meet of the season (the Ulawatu CT in Indonesia in June)... this is a recap of the 2018 Tour events for the girls: http://www.worldsurfleague.com/events/2018/wct and this is the women's final ranking for 2018: http://www.worldsurfleague.com/athletes/tour/wct?year=2018 in the meantime, the Billabong Pipe Masters (Ohau, Hawai'i), starting in just a couple of hours, will wrap the men's WSL 2018 season up... this year's Tour Title should go to Gabriel Medina, who has a solid lead in the overall ranking (he has a 4,740 point gap over his only two challengers, Julian Wilson and Filipe Toledo. That means if he makes the Final at Pipe, he wins the World Title. If he finishes third, one of those rivals needs to win the contest to take it away from him. For any finish fifth or worse for Medina...Toledo or Wilson will still need to make the Final to claim the World Title)... by the way, this is the men's 2018 events recap (so far): http://www.worldsurfleague.com/events/2018/mct and this is the current men's ranking before the final ride: http://www.worldsurfleague.com/athletes/tour/mct?year=2018
  7. yeah, in Madrid finally she lost to Laura Pasqua (ITA) in the pool final... Pasqua that here lost in round #1 to an unknown Japanese girl...

  16. as @Dunadan wrote, only the use during (or immediately before) official races Oxygen inahalators are prohibited (and only by FIS), so don't expect WADA to do anything and expect FIS just gently slapping German asses for that race...

  18. World Championships are gone, Premier League is over...but the year 2018 still has something to show in Karate... it's the Shanghai stage of the Karate 1 Serie A (2nd tier competition behind the K1 Premier League)... and because this tournament is going to award some useful points in the race towards Karate's Olympic debut in Tokyo, many "big names" decided to take part, despite the unhappy period chosen for it... by the way, this is a recap of today's action (Gold Medal matches only, as the repechage trees have not been completed -or at least, there's no result for them on the WKF website)... women's Kata: Viviana Bottaro vs Sandra Sanchez Jaime women's Kumite, -50kg: Bettina Plank vs Gulsen Demirturk women's Kumite, -55kg: Fumika Ishiai vs Anzhelika Terliuga men's Kata: Damian Hugo Quintero Capdevila vs Yuda Ahmad Zigi Zaresta men's Kumite, -67kg: Vinicius Figueira vs Alì Ismail
  19. sure! it's more than feasible... feel free to book your Christmas Holidays and try this new experience... https://www.tripadvisor.it/CheapFlightsSearchResults
  20. well, frogs are well known in the Italian cuisine, especially in the Northern Regions (alongside the course of the River Po)... "Risotto con le Rane" (risotto with frogs) is really famous in those areas... https://www.cucchiaio.it/ricetta/ricetta-risotto-rane/ and believe it or not, it's really good... also fried frogs or "rane in umido" (basically, frogs with tomato sausage) are 2 well established ways to eat them... https://www.cibo360.it/cucina/mondo/rane_fritte.htm https://www.cibo360.it/cucina/mondo/rane_umido.htm
  21. well, you already have a good young man (Jakub Simonak), who was 11th in the Nations Cup and then 27th in the World Cup race in Innsbruck ("only" 4 positions and half a second behind Ninis)... and also a promising double (Tomas Vavercak and Matej Zmij), who were 5th in the Nations Cup and then 13th in the World Cup race (always in innsbruck)... and in the Austrian WC stage, there was also a girl (Andrea Pavlikova) at the start, even if she didn't get as good results as the guys (she was only 35th out of 38 starters in the Nations Cup)... so, the situation for Slovak Luge sport is not so dark as you could think (OK, the top positions are still far away...and maybe they will never get close to that...but at least you already have a full set of world cup level lugers...and maybe in Beijing you'll have a chance to start also in the team event)...
  22. it's very, very local (Sardinia only)... and hopefully there are very, very few lovers of that left... p.s. to me, it's more than disgusting and should be prohibited under any law and circumstance...
  23. well, with a world title at stake, I'd not take it for granted that some coaches would choose to play with hyper-defensive style which could lead to 20 and more mins of OT without even a shot on goal... still, I hope to never see anything like that...
