  21. pretty average debut as an Italian swimmer for Santo Condorelli at the Sapio meet in Genua (short course)... yesterday he was 3rd in the 50m freestyle in 21.68, today he was only 4th over the 100m free in an awful 48.23... I hope he can do better in the next couple of weeks... p.s. I'm really disapponited with the fact that he doesn't speak Italian at all yet... always today in Genua, Federica Pellegrini's comeback over "her" 200m free as expected ended in a collective madness, but not in a really serious effort...she "only" swam 1.54.30...
  22. a slow start, to say the least, for Italy... Only Andrea Cassarà in the men's foil and Alberta Santuccio in the women's epee could get a podium finish in 3 different competitions (and no one of the 2 could even win the event)... moreover, the women's epee confirm itself as the weapon where we have the biggest troubles...Fiamingo shamefully out in the qualification rounds and reigning world champion Mara Navarria out in round #1...I guess they need a psychiatrist, but a really good one...
