  1. very disappointing last Serie A tournament of the year for Italy...we were there with the full team and we only managed 2 bronze medals in Kumite with our stars Busà and Crescenzo (but the fact that he lost 8-0 to Samdan, who eventually won the tournament, makes his 3rd place a lot worse than it actually looks) and a few bitter 5th places... even Bottaro in the women's Kata this week lost to Hikaru Ono (who she beat 2 weeks ago in Tokyo in the last K1PL stage)...at least, her ranking is still solid like a rock (and anyway, all of her opponents ended behind her this week)...

  4. yes, it was Iran that was forced to leave some of their medal candidates home when Manchester hosted the World Taekwondo Championships last Spring...
  5. you have to wait until the next WBC starts for that... no MLB players will be in Tokyo next year...and I wonder if even the Japanese NPB will get a break (or at least leave some of their players free) to take part into the games (I read somewhere that they won't, too...but there's still nothing official, as there are a lot of lobbies in Japan that want NPB players to be in the Olympic Tournament)... on the other side, Korean KBO will surely send their best players to the Games (in case KOR qualify, of course)...they even shut their star pitchers down in the last weeks of RS and the entire PO this year in order to give him proper rest before the WBSC Premier 12... http://www.wbsc.org/kia-tigers-shut-down-star-pitcher-hyeon-jong-yang-to-rest-ahead-of-wbsc-premier12/ p.s. after last night's brawl, ITA and ESP have been punished quite hard by WBSC... http://www.wbsc.org/a-total-of-67-games-of-suspension-issued-after-spain-italy/

  14. what a disappointing C&J by Pizzolato! he wasted such a big chance to make the podium...
  15. now's better...but surely not enough... and Karapetyan bombs out, as expected...
  16. wow! Jon already out and Lyu also seems to have serious physical troubles... this could open things out for silver medal, too...
  17. Basketball has a rule about naturalized players (no more than one), but they can't rule on those who are citizens from their birth (even if they asked for the official documents later in their life)... they are 2 different situations... by the way, all of our Diaspora guys are Italian citizens (otherwise you wouldn't be allowed to play for our NT under the IOC rules)...if you have true Italian blood/heritage, you are Italian...and citizenship is automatically granted, provided you ask for it... all the other ways to get our citizenship are a different question...and it's not that easy to get it, especially if you come from a Country outside the European Union...
  18. well, I just saw Rodallegs' recent results...he's really dangerous, more than I thought...probably, it's gonna be close between him and Pizzolato... and maybe even Jon Wi-Choe... hopefully it's gonna be a fun battle for bronze...but of course I hope Pizzo finally wins it...
  19. Karapetyan, if he really opens at 200kg, is going to bomb out...sure...
  20. by the way, being only 5 kgs behind the "virtual" bronze medallists, if everything goes according to plan, Pizzolato is basically in pole position to be at the side of the 2 Chinese guys (they're playing in their own world, well beyond anybody else) at the end of the day in the Olympic Total (which is what really matters)... finally it looks that we've found a real medal threat for the Olympic medals...
  21. however, you can find all the videos on the TAWA Thailand page on Youtube... Live streamings don't work (they are blocked because of copyright infringments -I think because of the music played in the hall), but replays are always all available just a few minutes after the end of the live broadcast... Live broadcasts of A groups, instead, are available on the Olympic Channel (English commentary) and on the Facebook Page of TAWA Thailand (Thai commentary)...
