  2. yes, the top 2 in each group will advance to the 4-team round robin main group... then, the top 2 of the final round go to the Olympics...
  3. Nearly 70 Countries will Show the World SAMBO Championships Live on TV The World SAMBO Championships in Korea will be shown live on TV in 68 countries of Europe, Asia and Africa. At the same time, in some states, 2-3 television channels will broadcast the tournament. And thanks to the cooperation of FIAS with international news agencies, video broadcasting will also be transmitted online to the countries of North America and South America. And, as always, the World Championships broadcast will be available to Internet users around the world thanks to the live broadcast on the FIAS website. A significant contribution to the expansion of the television coverage of SAMBO throughout the world was made in 2019 by the conclusion of a partnership agreement between the International SAMBO Federation and Eurosport, the number one television channel for sports enthusiasts in Europe. Thanks to this, the multimillion international audience of the TV channel, which includes both experienced SAMBO fans and those who are practically unfamiliar with this sport, as, for example, Vatican residents, was able to learn more about SAMBO. It is also important to note that compared to previous years, this time the World Championships will be shown live not only in Europe and Asia, but also in Africa - a continent with an ever-growing interest to SAMBO. Schedule online broadcast of the World SAMBO Championships on the FIAS website * Friday November 8th h.10:00 - Preliminary bouts Women: 48, 60, 72 kg; Men: 52, 68, 90 kg; Combat SAMBO: 57, 74, 100 kg h.18.00 - Final fights & Award ceremony Saturday, November 9th h.10:00 - Preliminary bouts Women: 52, 64, 80 kg; Men: 57, 74, 100 kg; Combat SAMBO: 62, 82, +100 kg h.18.00 - Final fights & Award ceremony Sunday, November 10th h.10:00 - Preliminary bouts Women: 56, 68, +80 kg; Men: 62, 82, +100 kg; Combat SAMBO: 52, 68, 90 kg h.18.00 - Final fights & Award ceremony * The schedule is based on Korean time zone

  6. Paralympic Champion Martina Caironi tested positive for Clostebol (Steroid)
  7. it took 7 innings, but finally Chinese Taipei scored the go-ahead run against Venezuela, followed by the second and later in the 9th by a 3rd run... so, they won 3-0 and did qualify for the main round together with Japan, who won 4-0 against Puertorico (all of the Japanese runs were scored in the 3rd inning)... VEN and PUR will play tomorrow not to end up dead last in group B, meanwhile JPN and TPE will play a very important game, as the final score is going to be carried over in the Super-Round... in Seoul, instead, after Canada's win over Cuba, the Host Nation didn't have any problem in their debut against Australia...5-0 for the Koreans the final score... Tomorrow, Cuba and Australia will fight against each other to keep their hopes to fly to the Super-Round alive, meanwhile South Korea and Canada will play a game which most likely is going to determine the group winners and to be carried over in the next round...
  8. no, the strike is still on... I only posted a short news/comment because today the games were in a favourable time of the day and I could watch them live... but I won't call a single word of that post back...
  9. p.s. those who have the Youtube streams geo-blocked, can always try to watch the full games on this website... https://www.gametime.sport/event/180 unfortunately, for those watching on-demand, the title of each video is a mega-spoiler itself... of course, those who watch the games live, don't have any problem of that kind...
  10. what's new? Venezuelans are well known to be big time chokers and a repeated waste of talent... I've always been asking myself why a NT with their talent never won anything...and I'm pretty sure it's not because they don't care...I know they are very proud "nationalists" and they care a lot of their Country and Countrymen... by the way, finally Japan won 8-4, meanwhile in the other match of the day in group B, Chinese Taipei proved too good for the already really disppointing team from Puertorico (they just can't hit...and their pitchers are not even close to major league level...2 runs scored and 15 given up in 3 games -the 2 warm-up meets vs KOR and today's outing in TPE- in the last 5 days): 6-1 the final score in favour of the Asians... given Japan the edge over their rivals, tomorrow's clash between Chinese Taipei and Venezuela could prove already decisive for the qualification to the main round from group B (and surely means a lot also in terms of both the Asian and Panamerican Olympic qualification race)...
  11. and when it really matters, we have Katrina-alike wind... Ruka (and in some degrees also Lahti) are the least reliable NC/SJ hills in the world...you can count the "clean" competitions held in those places in the last 20 years with your fingers...
  12. ops...you're right...I messed up the lines with scoring and somehow read as if the full qualification round was already completed...
  13. women's 10m Air Rifle Team event... Gold for South Korea (1891.7 pts), Silver for India (1883.2 pts) and Bronze once again for Iran (1877.6 pts)...
  14. I can also confirm that the Team Gold in the men's 10m Air Rifle event went to China (1881.9 pts) ahead of South Korea (1877.9 pts) and Iran won bronze (1872.6 pts)...
  15. right now, I can regularly see all the final scores
  16. the change between Mistral and RS:X was more than just a different sail provider...ask those athletes with a bigger body shape who were heavily penalized by that change... and this time it's gonna be a even bigger change...foiling is almost not sailing, it's more like flying above the surface... look at Nacra 17...it took more than a year to the best crews in the old class to get back on top of the new foiling Nacra...and some of them have not learned how to manage the new features, meanwhile a few sailors that weren't that good with the old boats, now are always medal contenders... it's gonna be the same in windsurfing... p.s no comment on those fu**in' mixed sh*t (and the addition of kitesurfing, which, imho, is not sailing at all*)... *and it's an attempt to gift France a free Gold Medal...I hope that at least someone's going to spoil the home team party...
  17. I'm not worried at all...and they can do whatever they want... for sure, I'm not going to waste 90 minutes during the Olympic days to watch the Netherlands scoring 25 goals against a poor 5th-tier team going to the Games because we have to protect "universality" in each and every sport and event (just to make an example)... and in any case, I'm nnot going to follow the Olympics anymore as soon as breakdance becomes part of the schedule...oh, wait...in 2024 we're gonna have breakdancing at the Olympics!
  18. oh, if you listen to some idiots of the IOC, you can always go down to 16 individuals in 500m & 1000m and 18 in 1500m + only 4 teams in the relays, with a direct final (thus cutting athletes and competition rounds, to make the whole sessions more tv-friendly)... remember, there's no limit to those bunch of ***
  19. I'm more for the principle: first you have to get good enough...and then, only then, you should try to be part of the show... there are so many events (which they kindly declined) they could have used to develop their movement, before ruining the "Jewel of the Crown", the Olympic Tournament... but no...they should still be allowed to start from the top tier event...no way, my friend...
  20. since mister Fraccari is an idiot and all not-live broadcasts of the Premier 12 are blocked in Italy (according to WBSC, a company named Eleven Sports has the media rights, but they are not putting the games on their platform, which is in any case just unwatchable, so, it's like it never existed), I'm going to stop following the event... If I can't watch the games comfortably laying on my couch with the Youtube app on my TV screen at a reasonable time of the day, I won't watch them at all... is this a strike? yes, I guess... p.s. if someone wants to take over and post results, boxescores and highlights is more than welcome...
  21. while I could agree for Malaysia (they're good enough top keep up with all the other teams), I definitely not agree for Ghana, as they are not good enough...their games would just be unwatchable blowouts... for this same reason, I like the rule they have in fencing...OK to universality/continental representation in the team events, but only if that continental team is good enough to be in the top 16 of the world overall... all team sports should do the same...also for the Host Nation... that's my point of view...
  22. men's 5000m Relay Gold: Russia Silver: South Korea Bronze: Canada
  23. women's 3000m Relay Gold: China Silver: South Korea Bronze: Canada
