  1. Just like Richardson, Lyles not at all impressive in the 1/2 and it's going to be an open final.
  2. I think China is getting at least one gold. Maybe 2 if things align their way. You are not winning W60 against Harrington. W54 is 50-50 against Akbas. In the other 3 let's see who makes it to the final.
  3. As with a few other sports, this is getting really shafted with the interest and schedule. In Tokyo Eurosport was all over with this sport, while now i recall only showing 2-3 games.
  4. Did they deepen the pool on the last day
  5. The anti-jinx finally worked
  6. Comparing it with you getting a ban someday, i wouldn't have high hopes in their place.
  7. Finally a China showcase Pan Zhanle is just phenomenal - 45.92 is even better than the legendary Lezak swim of 2008 The US lose the men's mixed for the first time in decades.
  8. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but has Sjostroem officially said she is retiring after Paris?
  9. Paltrinieri Fought his whole career to go under Sun Yang's WR and couldn't do it once again.
  10. Errani / Paolini you have one job to do and you are not doing it
  11. Faulkner just casually crossing the line without any celebration, as if she is riding on the home alley But what a fantastic result for one of the most cool riders on the Tour The women wasn't even a professional rider a few years back and was working as a data analyst in the Silicon valley. But her growth in cycling has been very fun to watch. An unexpected gold for the , but not a surprising winner for anyone who follows women's cycling.
  12. Roland Garros not late with the announcement
  13. Finally at 37 Novak Djokovic achieves one of his career goals Fantastic performance, channeled his best play from his heyday. Was ready for everything and did some incredible shots. Stunning scenes after the match. Alcaraz crying as well. Will be one of the moments from Paris, that will be remembered for years, decades to come.
  14. Well, nothing against the guy, i like him very much tbo, but Brady Ellison has looked 40 since Rio.
  15. It's funny how in modern days we have VAR's and slow-mo replay for basically everything, but shooting decides "nah, we don't need that anymore" in a sport, where a replay will be way more beneficial, than 80% of the other sports.
  16. I am all on board for sexy Latin American women getting shooting Golds Vamos (while checking Crovetto's Instagram)
  17. Latin America have been killing it in the outdoor rifle events. Well not literally, but they are very good shooters Wonder how their preparation has gone in this last Olympic cycle and what has been the target
  18. Draws are published at UWW site. https://arena.uww.org/weight-category/1ef379e8-e875-691a-8523-7b7ebc03fc97
  19. Möregårdh with a fantastic tournament, but the Universe allows you to beat only one Chinese player at a time. He should feel very proud of what he achieved. To put in perspective, in 42 table tennis events in the history of the Olympics, this is only the second time, where we have 2 Medalists not from Asia. The first - 1992 Men's singles where gold and silver were for Europe and another , legend Jan-Ove Waldner.
  20. That was seriously one outrageous final An epic conclusion to one of the most fun sports at every Olympics. Enjoyed it thoroughly this week. I second the opinion, that i wish i'm paying more attention to it, outside of the OG, but it gets completely lost between Olympic cycles.. I was a young man, when these old geezers Brady Ellison and Vincent Hancock were winning Olympic medals for team and we are in 2024 and they are still winning medals . Then i proceed to check their bio and see, that both of them are only 35 years How, why?
  21. It's almost time for the big match of the day I have almost never seen athletes as resilient and overcoming obstacles like Novak Djokovic, but if he loses another big final to Alcaraz after the 2 Wimbledon ones, it could very well finally break him. He has chased this gold medal for over a decade and if he loses, i'm not sure if it won't be the unofficial end to his winning ways.
  22. Unbelievable how the Koreans just keep sneaking a close win, after a close win.. Kim played his worst match in the past 10 days, yet he still won.
  23. Axelsen finishes just in time, so i can switch back to archery
  24. Should be around 16:00 Paris time.
  25. No, i don't want them to play the full course over and over again. It makes no difference, if it's a normal stroke tournament, or a round robin, if you are still playing all the holes again and again. I want the elimination matches to be done on 5-6-7 holes only and be done within an hour. You play holes 1-5 in the 1/4, whoever wins plays holes 6-11 in the 1/2. Then you play 12-18 for the medal matches.
