  1. Almost certainly, because of budget reasons i reckon.
  2. Two of the most beautiful people on the planet so fittingly.. Damn, Haley, i always had a crush on you and you had to score the biggest movie star of the past 30 years. Now how can i top that. Tom Cruise, 58, reportedly dating ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ co-star Hayley Atwell, 38
  3. Are bookies still taking bets for Petra for the Big Globe? The advantage the Italians had over Vlhova last season is pretty much neutralized this time. They are still a no presence in the Slalom, but this time they can't make the difference in the speed events, as Vlhova is now getting top 10 placements. With the lack of depth in the DH & SG, she can take points almost anywhere she goes i reckon. And, if she is matching them in the speed ones, then i don't know what Brignone has to do to catch her. She will have to win GS's left and right and take podiums on the DH-SG like crazy. And Brignone already made two big zeros this weekend, where she should have been making her mark. And i'm not even counting Bassino. As much, as i like her, i don't think she has the consistency (yet) to fight for the Big Globe. Suter can make 1-2s in all DH-SGs, but that won't be enough, because there just aren't enough races of them throughout the season. She has to make some kind of miracle like AA Kilde is doing in winning speeds at large, making top 10-15s regularly in the GS and be always amongst the leaders in parallels and combined. And even with that Kilde barely won last year, because speedsters are at a disadvantage in the calendar and the Big Globe for the last 15 years or so. That leaves Gisin and Shiffrin. They are probably the two most well-rounded skiers at the moment. But the thing is, Gisin is good at each discipline, but she is not the favorite in any of them. There is not one race, where you see her and put your money, that she is winning. You can gather top 5 a lot, but that won't be enough in the end. As for Mikaela, the two questions are, when will her form return and most importantly, will she have a regular schedule. If she is not committed to a full season, which by the looks of it, i don't think she is, she will have to win everywhere like before. She has many Globes know, and we saw last season, that she can put aside the hunt without much questions. I don't see her going all out in every race, like before, this season. The best chance everyone has is, if Vlhova misses some rounds and they can cut some points, when she is not there.
  4. Best result for Canada since 1991

  6. Saw this yesterday and had to double check, if the timing was right. This would have been good for a Bronze at last years WC Still not getting any hopes up, since i know, when the big championship comes, the under-performance also does.
  7. How dare you Sir That won't be necessary, as we know they will dominate the 50 or so "artistic" judges disciplines on the Games
  8. Pretty much this! They will dominate the first 2-3 years, when everyone else doesn't care or know what they're doing and then fade to the back, when the others get more interested. And to think, that when i started watching NC, USA had a team and performances on the level of Norway, Germany, Austria, Finland.
  9. Lol, China leading the women's Team Sprint final
  10. Ahh Zibbz, was on my playlist a lot that year. And not the Eurovision playlist, but on my actual music playlist. Too bad this damn show never gets the results right and has lost a lot of credibility the last couple of years.
  11. Well the other choices from us would have been, how to put it, eyebrow raising
  12. Our snooker referee Desi Bozhilova is home and commentating now the 1/2 between Selby and Lisowski. And she is spilling the tea on some backstage stuff. At first, many of the players weren't taking her seriously. One time Ronnie had a match, it was 4:4 before the final frame and she caught him smoking outside while the match was still going Ronnie begged her not to tell the officials and she said it's her duty and she had to do it. When she went to the room for World Snooker officials, they asked her first, if she had saw something and she said yes. They had already known, because Ronnie had went beforehand to German announcers and asked for a cigar. And Desi said, that Ronnie still thinks that she outed him that day, but with this, she gained his respect for following the rules and doing your job right. She also said, that they don't choose their clothes, which is something that i'm surprised. World Snooker are picking and sending them what to wear, and many times it is rather uncomfortable. And the most important thing, Mark Selby has told her, that he believes one day, she will be the second female referee on a World Championship final.
  13. Like if there was state sponsored doping in the West it would be announced or prosecuted.
  14. Looks like Wierer was thinking more of the retirement than on the new season, what the first trimester has showed us.
  15. Who thought JTB would find it so hard to win a race this season
  16. The epic return of AA Won't give that big Globe so easily!
  17. Our commentator mentioned an interesting study from Norway. They do thorough analytics on their junior and youth athletes. And it turns out only 16% of their best athletes in those age groups become world class athletes on senior level. An interesting name in the other 84% group is Marte Olsbu, who in the age 13-15 was considered an average athlete by their standards.
  18. What is taking so long to repair those nets.. I can only imagine if we would ever be on La Face de Bellevarde again, how they would run things.
  19. The best song about California? @Olympian1010 It's stuck in my head the whole night. And Michelle Phillips is just stunning!
  20. Let's not pretend that anyone cares about sport integrity or the Olympics in the grand scheme of the world.
  21. Yeah, these guys don't seem to be helping at all. I'm sure we can find someone, who can lose in the first round too. There is nothing to be exported, since we have become a big zero in men's wrestling.
  22. As i expected, a cop out move Either ban them completely, or allow them, enough with this crap...
  23. Awaiting the CAS decision on Russia today (finally). Knowing their "expertise" it's probably going to be the pathetic no flag, but allow the athletes to compete ruling.
  24. Waiting for the snow here. Looks like another Christmas without it.
