I have concluded that USA give biggest priority on Olympics rather than on world championships From the other hand FIBA changed their calendar and set even continental championships every 4 years in order to give more importance to the world championship. I remind that in their justification FIBA made a comparison with fifa world cup and said that they wanted their world championship (world cup now) to become of the same value for basketball, the most important international basketball competition

is there any possibility that he changes decision? Canada's roster is complete with him and big favorite for the final against USA Also in 2015 Wiggins didnt play in semifinal match against Venezuela in FIBA Americas Championship because of a conflict with coach i think. Canada lost even if they had done big tournament performance and they had won venezulea by 20 points difference in first round matches and they also lost the chance for direct qualification to Olympics
