  1. Unfortunately a 10-8 defeat against USA for our girls. USA was better on all fronts. Hopefully our girls can raise their level against and , after which they can impress again in the intermediate round against or .
  2. Wow Sharon van Rouwendaal does it again! By far the most underrated athlete in the Netherlands, but such a nice person. After all her Olympic medals (gold in Rio, silver in Tokyo), World titles and European titles, this title is once again more than deserved.
  3. Big and very interesting battle for the Dutch Olympic ticket between Luc van Opzeeland (currently 1st) and Kiran Badloe (currently 4th). Badloe is the reigning Olympic champion in the RS:X and is now fighting for his last chance to qualify for Paris/Marseille.
  4. Unfortunately I had to decide not to go. I didn't have the chance to buy the tickets I wanted, so I'll lie on the couch for the entire two weeks ... I have set my sights on Milano 2026 or LA 2028!
  5. Don't worry for your women's volleyball team, they will qualify in the end. Dutch volleyball women are masters in screwing up qualifications for the Games. Besides that, Canada simply has a better team with a few exceptional players, while the Dutch team no longer has any real stars like Sloetjes, De Kruijff or Flier. Speaking of The Netherlands, already 142 quota! Depends on handball, football and volleyball women if we exceed the number of 200 athletes.
  6. We can now almost confirm that and take the last two places on the OQT. It's a shame that the Netherlands had three injuries to three key players. Two torn cruciate ligaments and one heart infection. With a full team I would have given the Netherlands a good chance for a spot at one of the OQT's.
  7. We also no longer have to take Netherlands into account after a 12-goals defeat against Denmark and the loss of one the key players. After this mega defeat I don't see them winning against Norway, Slovenia and Portugal anymore.
  8. Thank you. And on top of that ... we have a Greek coach: Eva Doudesis. I'm very happy the best European countries will qualify for the Games, because for me it's almost sure and will qualify as well. And of course happy for and -medals at the ECh.
  9. What an incredibly strong keirin race. Never seen such big difference before. It is dangerous that he is already so good. Can he do it again in 7 months?
  10. That characterizes the true fan. But don't be afraid: Greece will keep the quota.
  11. Hahaha, all Dutch fans are still partying here in Eindhoven. Wonderful tournament for our girls with a great finish. Next month the WCh in Doha starts, not really looking forward to it. Too much tournaments in a short period.
  12. Very disappointing tournament for The Netherlands. We are a good team again with some very talented young players, but the crucial match against Romania was a disaster (8-12). I didn't see that result coming. Our boys will build to LA 2028. Congrats to the WC qualifiers!
  13. Why? In the last ten years only once (2019). I live near Apeldoorn, and very happy there is a big tournament again after all these years.
  14. I thought the city of Eindhoven wanted to host the TQO, but maybe something went wrong there.
  15. Why Torrevieja??? I should say the highest teams from WCh can choose where the TQO take place. No TQO in The Netherlands, I'm very very sad.

  17. I would say instead of . Hopefully will organize OQT2. I can't wait to cheer for our team from the stands.
  18. OQT1 - OQT2 - OQT3 - OQT2 is the same poule as poule IV at this World Championship (only Ukraine and Brazil missing).
  19. Thanks. They've changed the schedule then.
  20. Wins for and in the 5-8 place-matches, so they'll play for the 5th place. But no one knows for which OQT they play. and decide - after the 5-6 place match - together which OQT will be the easier one.
  21. Netherlands for sure want to play in OQT2. Don't forget has one of the best players in the world (Ana Gros) and is simply a very underestimated team (they always draw France and Norway in the early stages, like this year). The match for places 7 and 8 is played after the match for places 5 and 6. So if there is a loss somewhere on purpose, it is in the match for places 7 and 8.
  22. Lucky Hungary, but still deserved. The past years I really enjoyed watching the Hungarian players. Like last month, when I watched their friendly match against The Netherlands live in the stadium. And for you as a fan @Vektor really nice too. I remember all your amazement, anger and disappointment about the Hungarian women's team over the years on this forum. Then it's nice to get a great chance at the Games. Hopefully they make it in the end!
  23. No entry list. But the two stars of Dutch swimming, Marrit Steenbergen (freestyle) and Arno Kamminga (breaststrkoke) won't compete, unfortunately.
  24. Hopefully you're right and Belgium and Netherlands have a fair chance to win group A.
