    As for the course, the first impression is okay. Nothing special, but not too bad either. It's definitely too short though (unless it was shortened due to wind?).

    I opened the replay just now. Picked a random point on the timeline just to see how the course looked like. And the run I picked was Etxezarreta of Spain going into second place with Bib 37.

    With zero explanation given, it was announced just now that Zrinka Ljutić will replace Leona Popović as the flag bearer, because Leona "will not be in Beijing on the day of the ceremony". Huh. Interesting how they found this out just now. Smells like really bad news... Her first race is supposed to be in just five days...

    I don't even know who is dumber. Athletes who risked their Olympics for some random WC, or FIS for organizing WC events 5 days before the Olympics and two years into pandemic.

    First that come to mind are Chock/Bates in the ice dance. Followed by Irene Schouten and Casey Dawson in speed skating.

    I immediately stopped reading after they selected Laura Nolte for monobob gold and two-women silver. Obviously they never followed the bobsleigh season. Nolte is far better in the two-women event.

    Transferring unused bobsleigh quotas to skeleton would have been utter nonsense since there are unqualified bobsleigh crews...

    Articulation is a real thing though, as in, a part of a bobled. Personally I prefer: "He stopped the bleeding", "Speed... pedestrian", "More hits than Elvis" and "Look at that........ AIRBORNE!".

    This belongs here. I am surprised some users voted for Deneriaz here. He was such a one hit wonder that his winning run was not even broadcasted live in entirety. p.s. Damn, I still get aphasia just by seeing those horrendous tilted flags of Sochi (London).
