  1. Meanwhile, there will be 16 (!) reallocations in the women's field. Many will decline. I can almost see Poland getting yet another spot. We know they will accept.
  2. True, but if I were Norwegian coach I would find someone to send, even for a three week vacation, just to screw Austria.
  3. According to this, Sweden declined 5 women, but kept both men (for the team event). Austria's last hope is Morocco, but that probably ain't happening, either...
  4. I guess there is an outside chance after all for the fourth women's spot for us. The reallocation list is long, but many are no longer interested (NOR, GER, NZL, NED, GBR for sure).
  5. Since it happened to Austria, I am actually hopeful something will be done in this regards for next time. For starters, 32 spots can get transferred from ski cross to alpine skiing. Easy.
  6. Malta declined, but they keep the snowboarder.
  7. Norway declined so it's official. Jugovac has qualified. She will be a non-factor, but it is exciting nevertheless, as she will get to enter two events.
  8. GB declines women's ski cross. You know, remove this event immediately. There are so many events with unjustly thin entries, while this niche event probably couldn't find 32 entries even if they were offering money to federations.
  9. Starting to wonder if Norway is going to miss the deadline. It would certainly throw a cat amongst pigeons.
  10. They got lucky with Marchant squeezing into Top 15 at combined WCh last year. That unlocked the second quota. Top 30 in slalom also for Marchant unlocked the third quota.
  11. By all acounts, this should do it for us, as one of the Norwegian quotas is held by now retired Silje Norendal.
  12. I see. But can't say I agree with her here. She may be better than 3/4 skiers, but Latvia would probably rather have a relay, with atheltes who will also enter mutiple individual events, instead of having Bendika swoop in for one event only.
  13. Well, they can still select her for the relay, though I guess she will refuse that now out of bitterness? Pitty, with Eiduka on an early classic leg, and Bendika going 3rd, the Latvians could have presented a fairly decent relay.
  14. I think they were just really surprised with that 16th place, so they decided to have a figure skater for the first time since Innsbruck 1976. Netherlands has a couple of figure skating medals, including a gold from 1964.
  15. Not one word about fixed races? How surprising!
  16. Might need to wait and see what happens with NZ. I am not convinced they will send anyone but Robinson. This will then push the allocation down to Russia.
  17. Chile declines women's ski cross too...? That's it. Ski cross has to go down to 24 per gender, with 1/8 finals having 3 athletes per heat (that would increase safety too).
  18. After Italy, Russia declines quotas too? The end is near.
  19. Grass is green, water is wet, women's ski cross will have to bend over backwards to find Olympians (and fail)...
  20. Not to be melodramatic, but Italy declining a quota in any sport, like they did here, is perhaps the biggest upset in Olympic history.
  21. France declines to send a male jumper.
  22. And it started. Apparently CHN and EST destroyed their F5 button.
  23. Can we get emoji? :drama: @Sindo
