I have enjoyed Licorice Pizza and Drive My Car this year. Especially Licorice Pizza which went above and beyond any expectations. They are the two highlights. Meanwhile, I just don't get the hype around the dread that was Worst Person in the World. Saw it ways back at the Zagreb Film Festival and didn't like it. Absolutely amazing score of 72.348% for Julio Mendoza Loor & Jewel's Goldstrike today. They look amazing and there is so much promise. This is their second competition. Last week they made a debut, and the French judge immediately awarded them 75% (the average was 68%). Today the British judge awarded them 77%. Well, a gold medal is pretty amazing for us. I believe it is the first one from WEYOF. And all our previous medals came in alpine skiing, and some time ago. Had some hopes after Dante placed 2nd in the qualification yesterday (in his group), so while not entirely unforeseen, still pretty great.
