Edward Gal has decided to take a sabbatical. He will not be competing at all this year. This leaves team Netherlands in a pretty vulnerable position. They could feasibly lose their Olympic qualification to someone like Finland. Would not be too surprising.

QFs for Martin Kolenc in the 500 m. That's pretty impressive. Pretty good results all around for us with several Top 30 placings in the final analysis.

Top 10 guaranteed for Losos de Muniz. Leader at half-way point, with 9 more pairs to come. Also Rahmouni is headed to finishing at least 13th, which is highly impressive as well.
