  2. Good news, but I don't think it will change much except the name.
  3. By the way, here is an interesting read about what happens in the final months of Olympic ranking periods. Article is from before London 2012, but basically it's the same circus every time. http://www.eurodressage.com/2012/03/21/olympic-typhoid-fever
  4. FEI has published the lists of all events that will count for individual qualification rankings. Dressage Eventing Jumping 2019 will be the Olympic qualification season, so of course the usual suspects (Ukraine...) are back with their pop-up events in Zhashkiv and such places. I love how some countries are able to turn an Olympic qualification into a pizza delivery procedure, and get away with it again and again. Also the ranking rules have been published... 6. However, judging by single heat rankings, Muze is a bit of a reckless driver...
  7. Two Latvian Olympians in athletics (Grabuste and Muze) competed.

  13. Eitberger is sliding like an amateur.
  14. Yes, Collins should still be able to qualify. This is mostly nice news for Latin America, as now they will probably have 3 spots instead of 2. I think the spots will be decided between , with nobody except Dominican Republic being very safe...
  15. FEI I don't know how it's possible, but again they made a late change to qualification system (this time in dressage). And this time they can't even write it properly. They say that Groups D & E will be combined, BUT whoever corrected the document crossed Group C instead of E. https://inside.fei.org/system/files/Tokyo 2020 - Qualification System - DRESSAGE - 30 November 2018.pdf
  16. Horrific fall for Ashley Cain. It looked like she lost consciousness for a couple of seconds. Somehow she got up and completed.
  17. All my remarks have been about how things are done, and not actual participants. If you have read the thread, you would have seen that I congratulated Mexico.
  18. Just a clarification that I was not pitchforking because things didn't end up as I hoped.. If you read this thread you'd see that I never spoke against Algeria as host. I'm all for new users hosting, whoever it is, because: A) someone new will get a chance, B) other interested first timers will have a bigger chance next time. So everyone would be on a happy, level-playing field in much shorter time. Pitchfork out.
  19. But I will refrain from further comments on the subject. Apparently it's always easy to criticize those who speak their mind, even if in this case I was just bringing up the actual facts. So you can store your pitchforks.
  20. Why? Mexico will host twice without winning. Barely. And there is also a little fact that Olympics are forced to be exclusive because money talks. This is a community musical contest, for crying out loud.
