  1. I said that before. Jujitsu is very very huge in UAE. they lobbied OCA to add it to the Games and will dominate the competition. but that Cambodian girl is pretty good. I mean too good. maybe we are only couple hours away from 2nd ever gold medal for Cambodia
  2. and gold in Kabaddi ! and surprisingly that wasn't our men's team ! what a big surprise. nobody expected them to beat both Indian teams !
  3. I know this is a desperate try but any link for women's kabaddi final ? close match so far with only few minutes left
  4. I wasn't expecting a brilliant performance from our cyclists. but they are beyond disastrous so far. I know they had some back luck in MTB but road results were unbelievable. being behind Chinese Taipei in time trial ?! this is something new I'm also not that confident about the track results. the only realistic chance is in madison. but I think for the first time in history we will go home empty handed in Cycling ! (we also had one cyclist in 1951 AG who failed to win anything but I think that doesn't count)
  5. Eugen Wacker in his 5467th Asian Games but looks like no medal this time ! He won silver medal in last 4 editions of the Asian Games in ITT. such a consistent cyclist
  6. I agree but since we were in the winning side this time I take that gold medal but in general I don't like the speed competition format. I think finals at least should be best of 3. or maybe the whole competition being best of 3.
  7. Indonesia added this weird event to win a medal but after all it helped Saudis winning a silver
  8. they were awarding one bronze until 2006. (before that we had the competition in round robin. and no need for a separate bronze medal match) btw. I watched a clash between them but in Handball. and unblievably both teams were damn serious like they are playing for a gold medal (that was for finishing 10th or 11th) and when India won by a goal after scoring a very late winner. they were celebrating like hell. and Pakis were angry like they lost a big thing
  9. I don't know if you are making a joke or you are really asking but there is no bronze medal match in Kabaddi for a weird reason they give joint bronze medals. which I can't understand in a team sport. they do the same at the World Cup too. not just an AG thing
  10. the first line is mandatory to cross. if attacker goes back to his own court without crossing that . he is out and 1 point for the defending team oh no. they can tackle him at any time. sometimes they just don't want to take that risk
  11. wow that's quite a long list. I think last time in Incheon only Squash had no TV coverage. but at least good to know it. better than searching desperately for something that doesn't even exist
  12. so I should stop cursing the Iranian channels we have less info about events in Palembang. the coverage in Jakarta is apparently much better but it means also no coverage for Canoeing that was one of my favorite sports in the Games.
  13. I watched Pencak Silat for the first time still have hard time to understand the rules , I wonder which one is more stupid. Jujitsu (cat fighting) or Pencak silat ?!
  14. so we finished the Rowing competition with 3 silver and 1 bronze. all of them won by the girls ! our men's team failed miserably. I made a prediction here earlier so far the only sport failed to win that number of gold medal is Rowing .I was expecting 1 or 2 golds here , but actually the main gold medal hope was Nazanin Malaei and we didn't expect China to enter a rower in this category. with a limit number of 11 events max for each country to enter, they usually don't enter in single sculls event but they surprised us by entering a very good rower who beat Malaei for the gold. I think Lwt Quadruple sculls was the most possible gold without China in the competition. but they lost it narrowly to Vietnam.
  15. and we have Jujitsu on Channel 6, the most stupidest sport ever ! it's like two baby cats playing with each other
  16. I never saw anything from Rowing. I wonder if there is even TV coverage for that
  17. I make it short how to score in Kabaddi of course if you touch as many players of the defending team and makes it back to your own court. if you go 2 raids without scoring or giving up points, the 3rd raid you should score otherwise you are out and 1 point for the defending team. if the defending team catch the attacking player that's 1 point but if the defending team does it with 3 or less players that's super tackle and gives them 2 points. when all 7 players are out for a team. that's Luna and 2 extra points. there is a "bonus" line (the 2nd line) if you touch behind that line while the defending team has 6 or 7 players. that's also a point. bonus doesn't exist when the opposite team has less than 6 players.
  18. i had an emergency situation today and had to leave my place and missed all of evening sessions. I just could follow the results. Kabaddi team beating India and Alipour's gold medal was the highlight of the day for Iran. Alipour was a bit lucky that the Chinese guy had a false start. made things easier for the World Record holder. I hope we win more medals in this sport but that was best chance which we took it. our Sabre team once against lost to Korea. no shame in that this Korean team is just great. but we heard a very surprising sad news that Mojtaba Abedini announced retirement today ! people still will remember him with his heroic 4th place in Rio. but he had some bad results recently but I hope he changes his mind we had another final in taekwondo ( which was the last event of today I could watch LIVE) Bakhshi and his coach were very angry about the officiating and specially those phantom punch points for Lee. to be honest I still think even without those points Lee could win the match he is just too good but at the time Bakhshi had the momentum and 4pts lead. they gave 4 back to back points for punch to Lee and changed the whole thing. and we will win a medal in Pencak Silat probably two since we have a QF vs Uzbekistan tomorrow still what made the headlines here was none of these things. that was Nemati's story. and also our pathetic football team's elimination in hand of South Korea. nobody liked this team after losing intentionally to Myanmar !
  19. And gold for Alipour, glad he didn't fail when it mattered the most, good day but would be great only if Keikha could win that damn bronze
  20. Looks like we beat India in kabaddi !!!
  21. Oh no 4th place for Keikha, damn I hate 4th place
  22. no punches are counted by the refs. because the whole punch idea is different that kicking. any kind of kick to the body is valid for a point but punch should be straight from a specific distance and to the chest. Lee Dae-hoon's punches never landed clearly on Bakhshi. but whenever he threw his punch they gave him a point.
  23. Lee Dae-hoon is a great fighter he never lost to Iranians but today he was saved by some phantom punch points when he was down by 4. punch should be clear and straight and from exact distance to be scored. none of his punch points were valid. but after all great day for youngster Bakhshi, he beat two World and Olympics medalists before losing to Lee in the final. end of the taekwondo competition with 7 medals (4 in men's kyorugi) not a great result but at least better than my not-so-optimistic prediction
  24. Yes I wrote about that in next posts you probably didn't read yet. she was told to go for lunch and when she found out the truth that was too late and she came 30 seconds late for the competition.
  25. this Nemati story completely overshadowed everything here, and made all the headlines. it's not like we missed a medal chance but losing like this is unbelievable and as I said Nemati is somehow famous here. sometimes I think a bunch of random guys from the streets can handle these things better than these stupid officials.
