Shinobu Ota he is a little monster and it's funny that Japan has another great wrestler in this weight Kenichiro Fumita, the current world champion. the level of this weight is too high in Asia . good for Mardani for winning the bronze. two bronze in Greco is good for today we know about the level of lighter weights in Asia but I expect 2 golds tomorrow.

lol they added everything they had into the program. Poomsae, Paragliding, Dragon boat, Jet Ski, bridge and of course Pencak silat and they even selected events in other sports for their own benefit . for example they dropped all 3 heaviest weights in boxing. heaveist weight in Wushu. they also wanted to drop some Olympic events in Weightlifting and Karate.

I had the same question so I read the rules. if I remember correctly in mixed team each pair consisted of one man and one woman. (each team consisted of 3 pairs iI think) while in supermixed team each pair can be consisted of two men or two women. . but in general there should be 3 men and 3 women in each team. in short. this is just a new event made by Indonesia to win one more medal.

wow what a surprising gold medal. I wasn't even expecting a bronze for Rajabi with that very tough draw !

yep I have the same problem using the app. and I almost threw my tablet away (i mean seriously) when it stopped working at 14-14 in fencing semifinal

well we had 4 cyclists in top 5 in several events in Mountain bike but no medal a bronze is not a big deal in sports like wrestling or taekwondo but first ever medal in any sport is something special. I was hoping for more than 1 medal in MTB but we got nothing at the end.

unbelievable. in taekwondo quarterfinal match between Iran and China. after 2 rounds and 30 seconds into the 3rd round our coach made a protest that the Chinese guy electronic system doesn't work and he was right !!! unbelievable who knows how many points Rajabi got robbed because of the broken system. fortunately for Rajabi they fixed it and he won the match narrowly. but he was kicking for nothing for 4:30 minutes !!

And 4th place in women's MTB cross-country. I was hoping for our first ever medal in women's cycling but for whatever reason she fell behind by 6 minutes at the start (probably an accident) and even though she tried hard and her lap time was 2nd only behind the winner but that wasn't enough and she finished 4th edit: she had her bicycle snapped a chain and it took 6 minutes to fix that. that was very unlucky. I saw a clip of her crying over losing a sure medal. I would replace a silver or bronze here by a gold medal in wrestling on other hand we won our first surprising medal of the Games ! in women's taolu which is our first ever medal in women's taolu. for obvious reasons medals winning by our girls have more value for me. two silvers for Iranian women so far.

both of our female taekwondo athletes are already out ! at least yesterday they lost in the 2nd round ! and Rajabi is out against Korea in 1st round. I have to correct myself our taekwondo is not even average anymore !

I was checking some wrestling draws for Wednesday and I think our guy Hossein Nouri at 87kg is probably the luckiest wrestler we ever had ! first with 12 wrestlers only 4 of them are in top half including Nouri and the other 3 wrestlers are almost the weakest wrestlers in the competition. and if we replace TKM with that Indonesian guy it will be exactly the 3 weakest wrestler. Turkmenistan is guaranteed a bronze medal a wrestling I would like to see Indonesia and Thailand wrestling for the bronze I really hate these kind of drawing system. some of our wrestlers had/have to go through 2-3 world medalists to win a bronze ! but at least one of our wrestlers got extremely lucky. even though Nouri was favorite against anybody.

Today was a really sad day. both Iran and Saudi Arabia tried their best to avoid South Korea. losing to Myanmar was shameful and ironically one more goal from Myanmar could eliminate Iran ! and Iranian players were wasting time in last minutes scared of a possible 3rd goal. I think Iran played with mostly reserve players probably wanting a 0-0 draw but Saudis let North Korea score two early goals which probably confused Iranian coaches , they didn't know what to do. the first goal oh yes. but second goal wasn't intentional , it happened because Myanmar had no idea about "fair play" when an Iranian player was on the ground and Iranian players were waiting for them to kick the ball out and after that, our scared Croat coach was just yelling to his players to just "pass the ball forever" ! I think the table is quite unbalanced and we will have two not-so-good teams in semifinal. but that's it. we have the toughest possible road (and we deserved it for unfair play) South Korea and then Uzbekistan (the current U23 Asian Champion)

tthis is weird. they used the qualification results for the men's all-around "final result" but then we will have the separate "team final" ! it's usually the opposite of that.

what a day Pakdaman threw away a 13-10 and later 14-13 lead to Oh. I'm sure they are going to complain about the refs but I'm no expert in this. so much delay after that so called injury at 14-14 meanwhile we lost a match to Indonesia in Sanda wushu as well ! probably for the first time ever in this sport in an important competition. no surprise I guess.

Today was a bit disappointing with Taekwondo and Shooting but let's see if we can win the last freestyle gold. and what I can say about Ashourzadeh ?! 2 years ago he was dominating the world. beating everybody most of the time by more than 10pts margin and since the "Olympic disaster" he is just an average player. even though that's not just him. our taekondo as whole became average all of a sudden ! I will be happy if we win one gold in taekwondo. (and we won 4 last time in Incheon) Keikha made it to the Pommel Horse final. a medal in Gymnastics will be great even though he needs a miracle and a lot of luck for that.

This is China B. cuz we will have the World Championship right after the Games. still a good result for Vietnam but not a big big surprise IMO.

Iran-Pakistan looks serious so far. even though it doesn't mean the winner will win the group. because head to head match is no the first tie breaker in this sport. the winner still can lose in another match by a big score and finishes second.

India lost to the same Korea in Kabaddi World Cup 2 years ago. then Iran lost intentionally to Poland (if I;m not wrong) to avoid India. they beat Korea but lost to India in the final. now Iran-Pakistan match will be interesting. I assume both teams don't want to win

two of their athletes were already out before the "problem" starts and 3rd one is actually good enough for a bronze medal I see they started some matches with real time score. so at least I hope they don't use "papers"

looks like we will back to stone age in Taekwondo ! million years ago when Taekwondo wasn't an Olympic sport. after each round, refs should write their scores on a piece of "paper" ! and the center ref should calculate them after each round. and it seems they will resume the Taekwondo competition like that. well I can say 3 gold medals is guaranteed for Korea with this.

and in case you guys are curious what happened in Taekwondo competitions. their whole software for scoring failed and showed some crazy scores. they postponed the whole competition until "further notice" to fix that.

looks like we should have chance for few medals in Paragliding. but we sent only 3 Pilots and they will get 1000pts penalties for each round for not having two more pilots ! even though it's just the 1st round and still a long way to go but Iran could be #1 by a good margin we had 2 more pilots more or less in the same level. now we have 1075 penalty points ! China the first team has 189. I know our NOC had no idea about the level of this sport in Iran so they sent only 3 male pilots but that's VERY stupid because only two of them can register for individual event and the 3rd guy is actually just wasting his time here. because even if they score a perfect zero. Iran can't win a team medal with only 3 pilots ! Iran was supposed to send 2 male and 1 female pilots but they changed it to 3 male pilots to "according to themselves" stand a chance for a team medal !! looks like as usual our stupid officials didn't read the rule clearly. and i still can't understand how come we are sending Tennis players ! one of our girls lost 6-0 6-0 yesterday !! and today another one lost 6-0 6-4 and according to our Tennis federation website "she played good and made her opponent angry during the match" ! OK making someone rank 300 in the world angry ! quite an achievement ! well done !

Looks like Indonesia will win both gold medals in Downhill today in Cycling MTB. I'm no expert in this sport but I think "home court advantage" matters a lot in this sport when you train a lot in the course you have more chance. beside that Downhill is not that developed in Asia. I think Indonesia will challenge China for the first place in medal table. why not.

well Bekzod Abdurakhmonov has the same situation. he is from Boston. so actually 3rd medal since Bekzod won two Asiad golds before him. I don't think this Domenic guy is something special. he won few matches mostly because he was "unknown" and his opponents probably had no clue about him. we will see if he can continue to win medals in Asia or not.
