The Stoevi sisters are just amazing. It's a shame their accomplishments will always be in the shadows here, just because they are in a sport without much coverage, tradition, interest. 
 
This is their 7th European title (5 ECH + 2 European Games) which is just one shy of Carolina Marin's all time record of 8th titles in a specific event. Plus it was their 6th consecutive final with only one loss in 2024 in this streak. 

Would have preferred regional qualifier + global qualifier.
 
Since India won the T20 WC it could have been WC Winner + 5 regional qualifiers. 

Pretty much. I hope this is just a layover when the 10,500 athlete quota was for all sports, including the invitational ones.
 
When cricket likely returns for 2032, I hope they expand it to 12 teams and have a real tournament. Yes, getting  more involved at the Olympics is the big prize, but  and  are both in the top 10 in world population, yet currently do not care about the Olympics. It would be so easy for the IOC to get those nations invested in the games.

While this was reported earlier, I'm disappointed they are going with world rankings. I guess they don't want to risk India missing the Olympics. 

She also lost sometimes in the World Cup last year- nothing special, but the return of Rus has made the competition even tougher and Raffaeli will have a hard time to winning more medals - it seems that her best time for Olympic gold was in 2024... Unfortunately, Raffaeli's peak was probably in 2022 at the World Championships.

I think that France will be weaker now after Paris 2024. This is already happening with women... They're only the 6th or 7th most popular team sport – I think only Marseille has a good water polo club here.

I don't know where the correct place to post this news is, but the Alexandri sisters announced yesterday they will leave  and start competing for  again 
 
Our aquatics federation and Olympic committee were in talks with them for a while apparently, and they say they want to end their careers where they started and represent Greece in Los Angeles.
 
For those that don't know, they left Greece in 2012 for Austria at the age of 15 because they were cut from our national teams. It was their only way to continue in the sport despite not having any prior connections to Austria. They competed in Rio, Tokyo, and Paris where they placed 4th in the duet (our Greek duet finished 6th). They won many World and European medals for Austria and improved year after year and unexpectedly ended up surpassing all of the Greek girls that were previously seen as more promising by our federation and originally replaced them in our national teams. The girls thanked Austria for the support and opportunities and Austria also seems very supportive of their decision to go back to Greece.

Frist team final  It will be quite close, with  and  all in the pack for the gold.

A great loss for the Polish national team. Komenda is perhaps the weakest link in this currently superb team.
