  1. UK was the place to go for everyone for many many years and those who didn't get into UK decided to move to Ireland. That first bunch was a huge percentage of low-lifes, criminals, people with zero education that just left to work shit jobs for better money than they would have gotten back here. Now a lot of us go to Germany and some to Denmark. And the hottest new country for our dreams is Norway. The fact is that Lithuania became quite a safer country without those people around and it's a huge reason why everybody here was nervous about Brexit and them being flung back at us. And I'm not saying that everybody that left were bad people, because I have a lot of amazing friends that are living in UK and Denmark, whilst half of my family is in Germany, but the fact is that majority of those that went away didn't even bother to finish school and such.
  2. The saddest thing that this virus caused is that our immigrants started fleeing back to Lithuania. In the hotel that they are all quarantined in, one man already stabbed another man repeatedly during a fight. We didn't want that part of Lithuania back,
  3. We'll have to beat that at TISC
  4. DAMN, I almost missed this. GREAT BRITAIN and JAPAN
  5. I never said I myself did it and I think that Electric Avenue was probably the only of the three that got points from me.
  6. I believe it was already the third contest with music from Eddy Grant, so perhaps some users didn't greet it as openly as they did with the first entry?
  7. Slow down, tiger, we haven't yet reserved out countries
  8. When was it ever fun to be normal? Be exceptional, strive for greatness, vote at 4 A.M. like all of us bat people
  9. Hmmm, for Lithuania perhaps Edis Matusevičius (javelin throw) if he throws something close to 90m again. Don't see that many other athletes in our court that would benefit from only a year.
  10. I would like to visit your country. Here it seems that everyone is walking directly into me and I'm one of the very few that is playing the dodging game. Just today someone brushed off my back three freaking times, because they couldn't put in the extra second of effort to walk around me.
  11. Thank you for the warning, I will not be setting any alarms on the day then.
  12. I'll have to set an alarm for the start of the show just in case
  13. How dare you call 8:30 a reasonable hour during this quarantine situation that we're in?
  14. Oh gosh, I am extremely meticulous when picking what I'll watch. It might sound a bit pretentious, but so far I haven't seen that many bad shows, because I'm at that point of my life where I know what I'll like. I only had to drop two shows, one had decent animation, but no substance in the story, one had better storytelling, but zero animation
  15. Yup, the label 'kids' shows and the collocation of animation being for kids is definitely one of the reasons why a lot of people don't give such shows or anime a try. Legend of Korra is most definitely not a kids show and the reason why it was that good is as you said, good source material to go off as well as the creators growing together with the audience that grew up watching Aang & gang. Korra is somewhat a coming-of-age story while battling with a lot of struggles and also emphasising the point that the biggest enemy that we face is usually ourselves. And it also perfectly shows that most battles are not physical, but mental. I could probably flood this thread talking about Avatar and many other shows that I've watched I can't even begin to explain how much I love the animation medium, to the extent where I can say that I often get pissed off when I try to watch a serious Netflix show, because their writing, world building and character development is usually appaling compared to Japanese animation. All of my favourite psychological/mystery/crime shows come from that medium and I gave a lot of "real-life" shows a chance already to often see myself disappointed
  16. While Netflix is probably swimming in all of that sweet streaming money, I'm somewhat completely ignoring them since the winter season (after I watched the Witcher of course ) and devoting myself to Anime that have a lot of episodes, because it was always too difficult to commit myself to them when I had less time. So watching a lot of classics that I've had my eyes on for a couple of years and I'm enjoying the journey that life threw at me even if I get sad every time I look out the window to see empty streets.
  17. Have you seen Legend of Korra before? It is often a very unpopular opinion, but even though I thought Avatar the Last Airbender was perfect, I got more enjoyment from watching Korra since the show felt so elavated, it built up the motives for the antagonists and explored a lot of psychological aspects. I saw ATLA as a journey of adventure and Korra was definitely a journey of self, which really inspired me to write a bit more, because I love complex world-building and character analysis. Edit: it probably says a lot about me when my favourite Airbender episode was probably the one where Katara met that water bender.
  18. Yup, but the members from the same country would probably still have to have combined jury votes, because for example if there are four Italians voting that would mean there are 4 sets of votes in which Italy would get a 0
  19. It's very difficult to piss me off, you must have done something more than just forget the templates You probably also booked the two nations that I want to book this year for the Festival of Music.
  20. Wait, so perhaps I got you mixed up and it was Denmark that didn't have host templates ant not the USA It's highly unlikely that it would have happened twice.
  21. This reminds me of USA making templates for everybody but themselves
  22. Well, I think they will be able to start training during Summer, Spring will be a good time for them to relax from the sport and refresh.
  23. For the life of me, I cannot pinpoint the year when I became a biathlon fan. At one point I thought it was 2010 Vancouver, but then I started remembering stuff from earlier seasons and it's a complete mess. I definitely know that I've never seen Forsberg or Liv Grete race and when I started watching, Bailly was probably at the very end of her career, which is why I'm not comfortable talking about their domination since I haven't seen it first hand.
  24. I don't know, I wouldn't put my hopes up for Eckhoff too much. The fact that she had so many wins this season was out of nowhere and everybody was used to her inconsistency especially when it came to standing shooting. Seeing as Vittozzi looked like a shadow of her former self after her super season last year, I'd like to see more proof from Tiril that she is capable of being a consistent competitor, especially seeing how she completely evaporated during the World Championships and came back to her 2018-2019 season during the final shooting in Kontiolahti's pursuit. As for Roeiseland, she might come back even as a bigger 'monster', she can easily reach domination levels of such greats as Darya Domracheva, Magdalena Neuner, I guess Dahlmeier too if we look at what she did during her short career. In all honesty, I think the women's tour is very open right now for top talent. If you'd ask me, I don't really think that Dorothea Wierer is a super excellent biathlete, nor did I ever think that Gabriela Soukalova was too (as both previous winners of the overall world cup). The reason why Doro right now can look so good is because the women's tour doesn't have a Johannes or a Martin, which I think that Marte is capable of taking that place. I think women's biathlon level is really down after the peak days of Neuner, Henkel, Ekholm, Berger, Domracheva, Makarainen, Zidek. Of course, not saying that Doro or Gabi are not talented, just thinking that people perceive that they are much stronger than they actually are, regarding the competition that they are facing. Germany is at its weakest that its ever been with Herrmann being a less charismatic coinflip Gossner and Preuss + Hinz never growing into podium challenging form. French women are on a bit of a dip too, with Braisaz's and Simon's inconsistency. No real external challengers from smaller countries (that was the role that Makarainen, Domracheva and Kuzmina played) and Russia is extremely weak as well. So yeah, I'm really waiting to see if Nilsson can shake things up.
  25. Yeah, those episodes might become a bit more special then. Just like 'Make Love Not Warcraft' has a special place in my heart as well since I'm a gamer
