    My favourite is obviously . Would also be pretty happy to see , or win. Or just for the sheer chaos. Obviously will win, I though their song was fine (top 10) but it's definitively not my favourite.

    My guess is that a lot of countries will qualify in K1 and/or C1 but will instead send X1 specialists because they have better medal chances in those events. Which will make the C1, K1 and X1 fields all weaker than they should be.

    FWIW Christa Deguchi confirmed in an interview w/ Radio-Canada that she’s committed through Paris 2024 at least. She mentions that she took a few months off training after failing to qualify for the Olympics but that her love for the sport has come back.

    It’s already no longer a core sport as things stand so… one could make a decent argument that as it stands it has already been removed from the Olympic program post Paris 2024.
