I do love the graphics for the teams

Team USA 2026 Men - Andrew Heo, Brandon Kim, Clayton DeClemente - We won't be in the Men's Relay unfortunately. Women - Corinne Stoddard, Kristen Santos-Griswold, Julie Letai, Eunice Lee, Kamryn Lute History In 2022, the USA did not medal. Historically, South Korea has won the most medals, followed by China and Canada. The USA has the fourth most. Given that the overall winner of the 2024-2025 World Tour for the women was Kristen Santos-Griswold, I like our odds for at least one medal this time.

Daniela Moroz with a silver today in the Women's race. She managed to recover from a splashdown in the first medal race and come out on top after Kampman splashed down right near the finish. But the second race was all Kampman.

Wang Chuqin completes a triple crown at the China Smash, winning MS, MD, and XD. An impressive feat! Also, congrats to Felix Lebrun for reaching the finals of MS, taking out #2 Lin Shidong . Unfortunately, Wang Chuqin was just too much, taking out Felix 4-0 in the finals. On the women's side, Wang Manyu took down Sun Yingsha (aka Shasha) to take the crown for WS. It's so interesting hearing an all-China crowd cheer so heavily for one person but not the other. (They looooove their Shasha.) I wonder what it would be like for Wang not hearing as many cheers, though you're representing the same country. And though the Chinese fans might have wanted a different WS champion, Team takes all 5 finals in this (and in fact, only in MS and WD was there a non-Chinese opponent).

I think it's a four-person final, and I think it's possible to still finish fourth...but everyone else will have to win twice, and he only has to win once. The odds are in his favor.

Hampton Morris tried to break his WR in the C&J, but he failed...but still ended with a bronze in C&J and overall. Go ! (He was bronze in Paris, too.)

I'm mostly just in love with the aesthetic of this WCH...the font, the logo, the stage, the graphics, the colors, and the pics I saw of the opening ceremony looked beautiful.

have a great woman who does kayak and canoe, Evy Leibfarth...she won bronze in Paris in the C-1 slalom. Here, she just missed out on the podium in C-1 (4th place, by 0.11 seconds). She also made the K-1 finals, but finished in 9th. We'll see how the KX goes tomorrow. Hope to see more of her in the future!

Looking at Team USA's selection criteria, based on her results in the 2024-2025 season, she would be eligible; however, what's more important is how she does in the 2025-2026 season leading up. So, we'll be watching these early DH and SG races! December 12-14 in St. Moritz will be her first chance, I think. (Edit: She's one of 9 women on our 'A' team, and I think we'll have 11 women qualify for the Olympics, so I'd say odds are in her favor. Check out her bio from the US Ski page: "She is the only American woman to capture downhill gold at the Olympics, has 82 World Cup victories, 138 World Cup podiums, seven World Championship medals, and 20 World Cup titles (including four Overall World Cup Crystal Globes)." Her first WC podium was in 2004, meaning that when she won silver in 2025, it had been more than two decades since her first!)

2024-2025 World Cup Overall Results 2025-2026 Season Results by Stop Results by Discipline Looking forward to a good season leading to the Olympics! Curious to see if Lindsay Vonn for will be able to make it onto the team. Might reserve this post for results throughout the season, depending on how much of an eager beaver I am.

But Jakob still had a chance, making finals, and Adam made it to semis. Two great athletes! And also nice to see the next generation coming up.

Fun fact: This is the first time someone other than Jakob Schubert or Adam Ondra has won M Lead since 2011. And, it's the first time that neither Jakob nor Adam has been on the podium since 2007!

While the team won't be announced until January, NBC Olympics has some athletes to keep an eye out on: Ben Ogden took third place in the 10km freestyle in Jan. 2025. It marked his second career World Cup podium finish. Gus Schumacher earned his first-ever World Cup win in Feb. 2024 in the 10km freestyle and became the youngest U.S. athlete ever to win a World Cup race. Schumacher also became the first American man ever to reach the World Cup podium in a 20km freestyle mass start race in Feb. 2025. The second-place finish was his second career World Cup podium appearance. Ogden and Schumacher are the best chances for the U.S. men to end the team's 50-year medal drought. Jessie Diggins is the most decorated U.S. cross-country skier of all time with an Olympic medal in every color. She won the 2025 FIS World Cup Crystal Globes for distance and overall. Diggins is expected to compete for gold in the 10km freestyle. She also has predicted to be a podium contender in skiathlon. American Julia Kern teamed up with Diggins in the women’s team sprint classic at the 2025 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships and took home silver.
