It just hasn't been a good year for hockey in Canada in general really. You have the World Juniors disaster, the Women's Worlds heartbreaker, and the shocking Men's Worlds upset, all of which happened in just this one year. And top that with the Hockey Canada sexual assault case in the summer and it's just been a gong show for this entire organization. But idk, sometimes when you hit rock bottom, the only way you can go is up.

Through a total of 7 games played between Canada and the US, Canada is 1-6 so far (there is still one match to go). This is way down from 5-4 in 2023 and 7-2 in 2024.

Yeah overall I think it was a solid year, lots of ups and downs, surprises and disappointments, and new talent coming in as well. Overall I do expect a lot of things in a few months, def looks as tho we'll do a lot better in terms of medals than Beijing.
