well, not really but Albania is hosting MEK

I mean those 80 years old guys are not really dangerous right now (they used to be but that was long time ago) but Iran and Albania are not the best friends at the moment and a youth weightlifting team is "expandable" for those old corrupt politicians (they don't even know what it takes to be an athlete), I'm sure they would send a team if it was a senior World Championship

ps: I think people here are not familiar with MEK, it's hard to explain this super weird group/cult, let's say they are the Iranian version of IS

It doesn't. 2021 and 2022 were used to determine quotas (which btw still haven't been released)

These should be the UCI rankings quotas (track cycling). Not 100% confirmed until Copaci says so (arguably the worst CF with UPAG)

Team Laing/Jones win the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship, with a 9-4 win over Peterman/Gallant.

They’ll represent Canada at the Mixed Doubles World Championship later next month in Korea.

The fact that you have to sink so low, desperately trying to win a discussion that you can't win, speaks for itself. Obviously you don't care about the "truth", but only about "winning". Still here are some facts to put your "argument" into perspective:
    - The whole discussion was based on LONG COURSE results. The fact that you need SHORT COURSE results to justify declaring Knox a world class swimmer says it all. Knox finished 17th at the LONG COURSE world championships the same year. Of the 16 swimmers that finished ahead of him there, only 7 competed at the short course world championships.
    - Why did you feel the need to bring up german results? Did i say that german swimming is better than canadian swimming? No. Obviously this comparison is completely irrelevant for the strength of canadian men's swimming (but if you would have asked me, i obviously wouldn't have disagreed that canadian swimming is much stronger than german swimming). Says a lot about you that you can't lead a discussion without whataboutism. Sure sign that you aren't actually open to change your opinion, so why even bother answering? Knox won one bronze medal at an olympic distance (200 IM) at the 2022 world short course championships, Germany won twice as many medals at olympic distances (men's 100 fly and women's 100 breast) AND Germany was missing 4 of their 5 best swimmers (Wellbrock, Märtens, Gose, Köhler), which should show you how little they thought of this championship. Of course you would have known that if you would have any swimming knowledge. Another proof that nowadays most people think that it is completely irrelevant whether you have any clue about the things you are talking about. Why inform yourself when you can have an "opinion" simply based on emotions? Would be great if we could establish a mechanism where only people who have informed themselves can speak about a topic, otherwise every discussion will be flooded with people who have no clue, but still for some reason demand to be taken seriously.

    2023 Pan Am Games Qualification Tournament for Taekwondo took place from March 22-23, 2023. Here’s where Canada secured quotas;

    Poomsae
    Women’s Individual - 1
    Men’s Individual - 1

    Kyorugi
    Women’s -49kg - 1
    Women’s -57kg - 1
    Women’s -67kg - 1
    Men’s -58kg - 1
    Men’s -68kg - 1
    Men’s -80kg - 1
    Men’s +80kg - 1

We missed out on qualification in the Women’s -67kg category via Rachel Fountain. Anyways I’m bored, so I’ll try to predict the team that’ll be representing Canada at the 2023 Pan Am Games in taekwondo.

Poomsae- Women’s Individual- Michelle Lee (WR #12) (Not to be confused with Michelle Li )
Poomsae- Mixed Pair- Jinsu Ha/Michelle Lee

    Kyorugi
    Women’s -49kg - Viviane Tranquille
    Women’s -57kg - Skylar Park

Ah yes, then there is a loser bracket iirc from previous years to determine the last few spots. Of Note +80 and +67 have only 10 quotas each.

23 nations qualified in taekwndo, including and  each qualifying 2 athletes!

and  did not qualify any athletes, and should receive one wildcard each, which will leave 4 wild cards open. I suspect one of those will go to Talisca Reis, defending silver medalist and second seed at the qualifiers, who missed out on qualification.

This is also the first time since qualification began (from 2011), fails to qualify a full team.

Josh Liendo won 100m Butterfly, and 100m Freestyle bronze at the 2022 World Aquatic Championships. Plus you have Illya Kharun, who’s one of the of the most promising junior swimmers in the world at the moment. Sure they don’t field as strong of a team as their female counterparts, but saying they’re “almost nonexistent”
