  1. " they can qualify second one through the continental cup (like germany on the men side for example)" - that one
  2. The countries that have qualified do not count for points. So if you finish fourth and are the first country not qualified you get the max 28 points. Second place gets 25, third gets 23, fourth 22 and so on.
  3. Why do you need to post that in two different posts on separate days?
  4. Raonic and Pospisil have announced they are competing in doubles together. So looks like Nestor is out.
  5. For all the tennis experts, what are the chances of Daniel Nestor competing in the doubles event?
  6. Lol Group A... The 4 teams Canada probably did not want...
  7. I think FIVB is smart enough to realize that was a mistake and hopefully its gone
  8. This quad was unique in that Brazil was hosts, and with FIVB and putting that dumb qualification tournament with 4 teams (that was pure luck). So in 2020 at best 4 will be in Rio.
  9. Congrats UK!!! Surprised with India... Thought they would do much better.
  10. Canada Canada Jury Scorecard: Romania 12 Portugal 11 Lithuania 10 Ireland 9 Greece 8 Great Britain 7 Spain 6 Mexico 5 Slovenia 4 Colombia 3 Slovakia 2 Poland 1 That concludes Canada's voting. Congrats to all the countries who got votes!!
  11. Canada Canada Jury Scorecard: Portugal 11 Lithuania 10 Ireland 9 Greece 8 Great Britain 7 Spain 6 Mexico 5 Slovenia 4 Colombia 3 Slovakia 2 Poland 1
  12. Canada Hello/Bonjour from Toronto, thank you for Slovakia for hosting. All the songs were great but here we reveal our votes!! Canada Jury Scorecard: Lithuania 10 Ireland 9 Greece 8 Great Britain 7 Spain 6 Mexico 5 Slovenia 4 Colombia 3 Slovakia 2 Poland 1
  13. Essentially this is doping naturally... The CAS made the incorrect decision overturning the IAAF's rulig
  14. Quick question: If for some reason a spot becomes available in the men's c1 1000 (for ex. Brazil uses only 2 athlete quotas across the 3 it has), does that mean the spot is reallocated to the 9th place boat in the men's c1 1000 (Mark Oldershaw - CAN). If so what happens to the continental quota he earned? Would it be reallocated to Canada regardless? I ask because if Oldershaw got the quota from the worlds, he would not have competed at the continental qualifiers, meaning Canada would have won a quota in the c1 200m. What a mess!
  15. To add more confusion... Athletics quotas are not considered as wildcards by the ioc (along with swimming)
