  1. Thanks. So Ireland will decline 2 quotas for sure.
  2. Essentially the IOC allows that for the Summer Olympics. Maybe they should build in an up to 20 extra quotas each cycle the IOC could hand out to countries not qualified after recommendation from IFS
  3. Any word on how many cross country skiers Ireland will send?
  4. And sadly two of those entries would have qualified in 2018....but the IOC wanted to cut costs!!!
  5. Wow a 55 year old competed for the USA
  6. Looks like the IBSF removed the top 60 or top 45 rules for Skeleton. This means is second in the women's reallocation list (likely first, because I doubt would accept a reallocate spot)
  7. This is the A team, lol. Léveillé is likely our next "Harvey".
  8. Team Canada Men Antoine Cyr Olivier Léveillé Graham Ritchie Women Dahria Beatty Cendrine Browne Laura Leclair Katherine Stewart-Jones
  9. Interesting decision....I think any decision would have led too.... well team x did this and would have been a better selection
  10. Canada's team of 16 athletes will be named on Monday
  11. Lol bad luck for her, but this made me lol
  12. What a joke.... rigged races allowing a 39 year old skier from Jamaica who has no business at the Olympics as cost a quota... never change FIS
  13. :aze lost its quota, not sure why they were given one in the first place (none of its skiers met the requiremenrs)
  14. Weightlifting (not sure of it being true): https://torokhtiy.com/blogs/warm-body-cold-mind/qualification-system-in-paris-2024
  15. I can't see Moldova declining. So perhaps there were other declines as well or maybe another winter IF making up their own rules
  16. Poll 2: Will Canada win more gold medals at Beijing 2022 or Tokyo 2020?
  17. Or finally agree to a wave system with the scheduling.
  18. Blame the IOC. I fear for 2026. Women's Nordic Combined (20-25 quotas) plus ski mountaineering (48 quotas) will need to be found.
  19. I think they realized we were heading to over 166 athletes and changed it on a whim
  20. Amanda Asay, only 33, silver medalist in women's baseball at the 2015 Pan American Games (the first and only time women's baseball has been held at a major MSE). https://www.baseball.ca/?alias=baseball-canada-mourns-the-passing-of-amanda-asay&lang=english
  21. Just like Luge
  22. Team Canada Men's Singles: Keegan Messing, Roman Sadovsky Women's Singles: Madeline Schizas Pairs: Vanessa James / Eric Radford, Kirsten Moore-Towers / Michael Marinaro Ice Dance: Laurence Fournier Beaudry / Nikolaj Sørensen, Piper Gilles / Paul Poirier, Marjorie Lajoie / Zachary Lagha
