  1. Slovakia
  2. Gustavo Ayón, who plays with Real Madrid Basket and also played in the NBA... he was the team leader; but shortly before Olympic qualification tournament last year he started to behave like he was the only capable of making the team work, even managing to bring the arrogant a***ole that is our National Sports Comissioner to beg him to play; he had some goood points for not joining the team at that point, but after that, he's just using the lacm of proper planning to avoid being called to the team.
  3. Despite every single problem in the last 20 years, and our best player being absent because he's a diva, 3rd place for Mexico is not bad at all
  4. first qualified team from UEFA
  5. What did you think about Japan? It didn't seem that impressive to me, even dull in their pace. Also US getting overscored, they had some troubles with their 3x-2x routine.
  6. EL TRI qualified Not the best games (impossible with that idiot 5th category coach) but still, they will be in Russia for a 7th straight appearance
  7. USA once again in trouble, after losing at home with Costa Rica (who helped themselves, but also Mexico)... their next game visiting Honduras will be decisive for both squads.
  8. And Brazil's win makes thins more interesting... if Peru wins tonight again Bolivia, the next two game days should be pretty awesome
  9. Paraguay wins 3-0 to home team Chile Meanwhile, Argentina and Uruguay are yet to open the score... things might get very interesting in South America.
  10. Poor girl, however I think she might improve in AA final. By the way, she's from Bulgaria not Belarus
  11. Mexico can't take it's best skater in women's (the first one to qualify for a Jr World Champs free skate) because she's under the selection age. Meanwhile, Carrillo in men's improved a little bit his FS last weekend at Jr. World Grand Prix... I don't think he will be in contention for a place, but I'll be happy with a new PB in either program and of course in total.
  12. Iran was first in medal table, with Thailand and Mexico in joint 2nd place... and amazing haul of 3 golds and 2 silvers for our cadets
  13. Excellent results for Mexico in the last day of athletics... both medals were nice surprises, given that our other finalists (Alvarez and Del Real) failed to be in the podium; plus a couple of 4th places in men's discus and women's high jump, and of course, both 4x100 relays again achieving NR in the process. Tomorrow, our last medal chance will be in football, as I doubt Ruth Castillo medals in Rhythmic's finals.
  14. Entry list for Nebelhorn Trophy 2017.
  15. And also the men's relay manage to break a 25 year old record in 4x100
  16. New NR for Mexican 4x100m relay They promised and they did it... best of luck for them in the final.
  17. Mexico qualified to 2019 PanAm Games in men's basketball, after its 2nd win in Group A of AmeriCup... this ensures, they at least finish as 2nd in their group.
  18. Mexico started 2017 AmeriCup with a win against arch-rival Puerto Rico
  19. After qualification round in men, only 3 men from American continent manage to advance to the final, one from Mexico and two from Argentina
  20. Defending champion in women's hammer throw, Skydan is out after three fouls... and again a ridiculous qualifying mark of 59 meters
  21. Qualifying mark of only 60 meters in Men's Hammer Throw; already 9 out of 10 competitors qualified just from Group A BTW, Mexican Alberto Alvarez has advanced to final in Men's triple jump... he should take gold in the absence of better jumps.
  22. Gold for Canada in women's vault Rogers
  23. Not a good day for Mexico, only a fifth place in Women's Judo and a couple of competitors in the 3m Springboard final Plus, Alejandra Valencia in women's recurve and our mixed pair in compound will fight for the bronze.
  24. Great first day for Mexican competitors... winning first gold of the Universiade and an unexpected silver in Weightlifting
  25. Fabian De Luna with good chances of advancing to the Rings final
