    Really? It seems like organizers only allowed the worst manga illustrators to enter the contests; this is below crap, really Yet they're not worst that London 2012 mascots.

    Brazil can beat Mexico and Sweden, if they aren't overconfident. I doubt Brazil and Germany could meet in R16; they are way above the other teams in the group.

    I know the level in this competition is reduced, but I'm glad because Mexico got its first medals in men's competition, a silver and a bronze in the clean and jerk

    Well... is not that Latin American countries are investing Cubans; thing is that most Cubans don't want to live in an outdated, repressive system, which is strugling now to give them the benefits of other times (good education, healthcare, welfare); even on last Pan Am games, Cuba lost most members of its hockey teams (in both genders) by mid tournament, due to desertion.

    Yeah, it was probably that; but that wasn't written anywhere, that was just something we arranged in order to have a fairer process to select the hosts. I'm not mad or bitter, just saying that the rule in this particular matter shall be rewritten.

    Well, it was originally, and that's why Brazil is hosting. But last year when I won 2nd place, they decided to choose the host by chance.

    If you like that much, that song in concrete (Chilanga Banda) is a tribute to the urban culture that defined post WWII Mexico City, characterized by immigration from other parts of that country that resulted in a slang that is unique to the people living there (and consequently, considered disgusting by the rest of the country, myself included)

    Well, speaking for myself, I'm not too genre oriented (even if sometimes it may seem like it) I try to take the best from each song, and to evaluate whether it is rather unique or has an "X factor" to it, that separates it from the rest of its field. So, it's not that rare for me that she chose two very different songs, if she thought they were pretty amazing on their own.
