  1. Well, now Slovakia must pray for either v. or v. to end in a draw
  2. Well Mexico is playing with its main players; what they lack is a proper game plan and a good coach. Honduras will be difficult to beat, as they are locals, and the atmosphere there is always very heavy. So truth to be, it it up to Costa Rica to decide if they want to win that last game.
  3. They're not that good... is just that there's no current rivals for them in South America, but still they're way behind Canada, Mexico and USA.
  4. And just like 4 years ago, USA is destroying Panama's chance to qualify.
  5. And just like yesterday, the favorite can't handle the pressure in the final rotation.
  6. Black seems to have no real competition to be crowned AA champion at home Congrats to her
  7. And Belyavskiy can't handle pressure and fails in high bar... seems the podium will be for and
  8. With one rotation to go, Belyavski takes a little more than .500 lead over Xiao and Shirai. Vernaiev is out of the podium and Larduet can only go for bronze.
  9. Sadly, the other current results doesn't look good for Chile´s prospects... PRobably this is the most exciting qualification I've seen so far.
  10. It seems polluted open water venue is not limited to "3rd world" countries Article A little surprised I must say...
  11. After 2 rotations, Larduet and Vernaiev are strugling in AA final, the latter falling from pommel horse Meanwhile Shirai and the Chinese men are looking good, so the podium might go completely to East Asia, unless Belyavskiy or Davtyan continue to challenge them.
  12. Well, Brazil had decent results in women's... Thais qualified for both AA and Floor finals
  13. Kevin Cerda is qualified for the all around finals I didn't have any expectations for this edition, but this is a nice surprise.
  14. With one division yet to compete tomorrow, these ten gymnasts already qualified for AA final: XIAO & LIN LARDUET WILSON SHIRAI BELIAVSKIY & NAGORNYY BRAEGGER VERNAIEV MOLDAUER
  15. Kohei Uchimura is out of contention for the all around title... there will be a new all around champion, and knowing how judges favor athletes, it will possibly be Larduet from
  16. Well and decided to retire from NORCECA championships (main qualifier) due to lack of preparation or something like that, given recent hurricanes struking both islands. So the confederation decided to give both teams another chance to qualify. As for Mexico... well, let's say this generation is getting old and there's not enough talent nor good coaching that will help them achieve the level they during 2009-2012; just take a look at their results in last to editions of World League.
  17. and are qualified to 2018 World Champions and will go to a last chance tournament against and Edit: is instead of Dominican Republic
  18. First place in both lightweight singles is a decent result for Mexico... I hope they continue funding our athletes, especially our U23 silver medalist.
  19. Donovan Carrillo got great scores and set new PB's in short, free and total He ensured ending in the top half of his first senior competition... I could not ask for a ticket to Olympics, but this performance is great for Mexican ice skating
  20. Go Donovan Carrillo I know he might finish in last place, but I'm rooting for him.
  21. Bienvenida @Hem Shampa ! Glad to have Uruguay joining the competition!!
  22. Nebelhorn Trophy starts tomorrow in Germany... this is the last qualifying event for 2018 Winter Olympic Games. Start Orders/ Results Live Streaming Apparently, France will be only using one of its two quotas in Pairs; likewise, it's not sure Denmark ice dancers will be competing next year at PyeongChang. Finally, rumor says that Swedish Olympic Committee asks for some though score (260 or more points) for their male skater to select him, and probably this points criteria is going to be applied to their women's competitor. If both assumptions are correct, then be additional qualifiers or reallocations are likely to happen.
  23. Poor Slovenian rower in men's light single sculls capsized in the quarterfinals, when he was leading with just under 200m to go
