  1. Will the same be applicable for men too?
  2. Apparently Yossi don't like Zahavi. But its a shame, after all Zahavi has done for Israeli Football he deserved a last hurrah by captaining his side in Olympics.
  3. Finally luck runs out for Deschamps. He should thank his stars that they made it to Semi-finals. This french team deserved nothing from this tournament.
  4. That is fairly strong football team, I'm surprised Slazburg allowed Gloukh to play in olympics. I would have liked 2 changes in the team. Anan Khalaily in place of Madmon & Eran Zahavi / Shon Weissman as one of the overaged players instead of Dan Peretz.
  5. 9/10 were easy to nominate in no particular order but for 10th I had my doubts & selected over the remaining options.
  6. Who gets the reallocated quotas?
  7. At home now & will be able to enjoy olympics as I have taken time off work. Things will start around noon (IST) & will go on till 02:30am . So I will probably wake up around 10 , take shower have breakfast & make my schedule for the day. Then catch on the pre show which our broadcaster will telecast. Start my session with TV, Phone & Laptop streaming sports I want to catch. Will continue till 02:30 am , then catch on the medal events for the day, go through Totallympics , turn off the lights & go to bed around 04:00 Hrs. Set my alarm for 10:00 Hrs & repeat.
  8. This makes perfect sense, an English referee for Germany - Spain match which had many debatable. Incidents not favouring the hosts so now we have a German referee for an England match. Be prepared for lot of debatable decisions
  9. What about Kaul? He is one of my favourite athletes. He did well in the European championships & I saw he participated in Javelin throw in the german championships & registered a mark better than Rohler. I hope him & Neugebauer pushes each other & both medal in Decathlon. Kaul must have a decent 1st day to have any chance as his 2nd day is better than most.
  10. New PB & NR for Sable He clocked 08:09:91 ( Prev NR 08:11:20) He finished 6th in 3000SC.
  11. New NR for Sable in Paris DL He clocked 8:09:91 (Previous NR 08:11:20) He finished 6th . Well done 👏
  12. After reallocation of quotas Ankita makes it to Paris in 5000m. & Jeswin as expected makes it in Long Jump. We now have 111 athletes in 16 sports representing at Olympics
  13. Received another reallocation Ankita qualifies in 5000m women . She was the 6th alternate. So as expected many athletes withdrew from 5000m to concentrate on other events.
  14. Team 21 Athletes in 15 events Shotgun Men’s Trap : Prithviraj Todainman Men’s Skeet : Anantjeet Singh Naruka Women’s Trap: Rajeshwari Kumari & Shreyasi Singh Women’s Skeet : Maheshwari Chauhan & Raiza Dhillon MIXED Skeet: Anantjeet Singh Naruka & Maheshwari Chauhan. Rifle & Pistol Team:
  15. I hope we have a repeat of 2010 WC final & the result gets reversed
  16. Deschamps & his luck . Amazing how he keeps winning matches even after playing dreadful football. They are still to score a goal from open play & they will play SF against a weakened spanish side who will miss 3 first team players.
  17. Best match of the euros so far. Two good teams battling in QF unfortunately. With the long list of suspension for Spain, this perhaps open a window for France/Portugal. Sad for Toni Kroos, hopefully Nagelsmann can get the team ready for 2026, there is lots of potential just need good central defenders .
  18. Men’s Cricket T20 world champions took out an open bus victory parade at Marine drive, Mumbai. Thousands of fans took to the streets to celebrate their success & welcome the world champions. Scenes
  19. I think actions on the field of play has different implications and sanctions as opposed to press conference & interviews.
  20. I am on leave now, so 14 hours + each day will be on my schedule. My day will start with 1 hour pre show ( country centric)that hopefully our broadcasters will provide bringing in some top experts. After all events get done for the day I will do my own summary of medal events & then go to bed. 6-7 hours of sleep will be enough. After all its once every 4 years. 5 Sports : Field Hockey , Shooting, Athletics, Boxing & Wrestling 5 events: Men’s Javelin, Men’s Decathlon, Men’s Hockey, Recurve Mixed team, Women’s Team TT. Not interested/Will watch only medal rounds: Breaking , Surfing, Artistic Swimming , Skateboarding & BMX cycling.
  21. Team - 110 * athletes in 16 sports. This will be 12 less than Tokyo but considering we failed to qualify our women’s Hockey team, it is a satisfactory figure. We will have no representation in Fencing & Gymnastics where we qualified 1 athlete each in Tokyo. **Final number may go up by 1-2 athletes depending on athletics reallocations.
  22. QF V V V V **4 Group Winners , 3 2nd place teams & 1 3rd Place Team. ** All groups are still active except Group E ( All 3 teams lost) ** & are the only group winners who failed to make QF. ** Turkey are the lowest ranked team still in the competition.
  23. has qualified 8 more athletes by ranking Women: 1. Jyoti Yarraji - 100mH 2. Annu Rani - Javelin 3. Abha Kathua - Shotput Men: 1. Sarvesh Kushare - High Jump 2. Abdulla Aboobacker- Triple Jump 3. Praveen Chitravel - Triple Jump 4. Tajinderpal Singh Toor - Shotput 5. Jeswin Aldrin - Long jump ( he is ranked 33rd but gets in due to Sreeshankar’s Withdrawal/injury) **DP Manu had also qualified by ranking but he is doubtful. Hopefully we can add 1/2 more athletes who are just outside the cut offs & may get a chance on other withdrawals. At present, with these additions our contingent size for Paris swells up to 110 athletes in 16 sports. Decent number considering we lost out on women’s hockey & fencing .
  24. has qualified 8 more athletes by ranking Women: 1. Jyoti Yarraji - 100mH 2. Annu Rani - Javelin 3. Abha Kathua - Shotput Men: 1. Sarvesh Kushare - High Jump 2. Abdulla Aboobacker- Triple Jump 3. Praveen Chitravel - Triple Jump 4. Tajinderpal Singh Toor - Shotput 5. Jeswin Aldrin - Long jump ( he is ranked 33rd but gets in due to Sreeshankar’s Withdrawal/injury) They join our qualified athletes: Men: Neeraj Chopra - Javelin Kishore Jena- Javelin Avinash Sable - 3000m SC 20k Race Walk- 3 athletes 4x400m Relay- 5 athletes Women: Parul Chaudhary 3000mSC & 5000m Kiran Pahal - 400m Priyanka Goswami- 20k Race walk 4x400m Relay- 5 athletes Mixed events: Race walking mixed team So total 26/27 athletes qualified in athletics. This takes our total contingent size for Paris to 110 athletes in 16 sports.
