  5. Here’s my full schedule for this week. Obviously I won’t be able to watch all of them, but I’ll try to catch as many of them as possible. (Yes I know it’s a lot ) NBA (Mainly GSW), NHL (Mainly Canucks), Judo Grand Slam Antalya, Junior Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, Canadian Swimming Trials, Men’s Curling World Championships, South African Athletics Championships, BWF Spain Masters, 3x3 Basketball Asia Cup, HSBC Rugby 7s Hong Kong, PanAm Aquatics Waterpolo Championships, Surfing (Mainly the Barbados events happening now, but I may catch other ones), Tennis (Miami Open, Charleston Open, Bogotá Open, Estoril Open, Houston Open, Marrakesh Open), Beach Pro Tour (Coolangatta Beach Futures, Tahiti Futures, Ipanema Challenge) There’s also some events I haven’t come across yet, probably in athletics/swimming mainly, which may get added into my calendar as the week goes on.

United States and Australia qualify for the 2024 Olympics Fight for that fourth and final quota between Ireland, Great Britain and Fiji is going to be exciting. @JoshMartini007 maybe you can help provide a list of scenarios for each of the following (Ireland, Great Britain, Fiji) securing Olympic qualification?
  7. Day 1 of the HSBC Rugby 7s in Hong Kong, China saw some great performance from our men’s/women’s teams. Canada’s women’s team finished the day with a 1-1 record, losing against (7) Great Britain [0-5] and winning against Hong Kong [22-5]. Canada will close out pool play against (1) New Zealand at 7:41 PM PST/10:41 PM EST. Canada’s men’s team finished the day with a 0-1 record, losing against (2) Argentina [5-17]. Canada’s remaining two games are at 8:52 PM PST/11:52 PM EST against (4) Fiji, and at 1:13 AM PST/4:13 AM EST against (6) Samoa.

  9. Christa Deguchi (-57kg) wins silver on Day 1 of the Judo GP in Antalya, Turkey, losing out in the final to current World Champion Rafaela Silva (BRA) 0-1. Kelly Deguchi (-52kg) doesn’t fare as well as her sister, with a first round defeat to Gultaj Mammadaliyeva (AZE) 0-1.

  11. Sara Dosho (wrestling) officially retires. Her biggest successes at the Olympics were a gold medal at Rio 2016 (women’s 69kg), and fifth place at Tokyo 2020 (women’s 68kg). Other career highlights include bronze at the 2013 Worlds (women’s 67kg), silver at the 2014 Worlds (women’s 69kg), bronze at the 2015 Worlds (women’s 69kg) and gold at the 2017 Worlds (women’s 69kg).
