  11. Knight to Kessel for the goal… with three seconds left on the clock. United States and Canada tied at 3-3. Looks like this one is headed to OT.
  12. Hillary Knight scores, now a one goal lead for Canada over United States with just over a minute left in the game. Terrible call by the refs, that was very clearly offside but whatever And this isn’t the first time too, a Canadian goal was disallowed at 4-1 for “Goaltender Interference”
  13. GOALLLL Laura Stacey 3-1 Canada over United States with a couple of minutes left in the 3rd period.
  14. I watched all four medal matches, so that’s probably why I was so quick Xue/Xia were really impressive. 26/37 on sideout in the final, against one of the best teams in the world in Barbora/Carol. The French have really been surprising me lately. Remi/Lyneel making the QFs at the La Paz Challenge, Krou/Gauthier Rat winning gold at the Torquay Elite16 (Weaker field then normal, but still) and silver at the Ipanema Challenge. And on the women’s side you have Placette/Richard, who took 9th at the Tepic Elite16 and 5th at the La Paz Challenge. Don’t think any of them will medal come Paris, but anything can happen. Also, really great to see Alison and Ludwig back on tour. Hopefully they can make a good run towards Paris 2024 qualification with their partners.
  15. So, I’m looking at the teams list, and just seeing how weak the field is Realistically, there’s only five contenders for medals, Scotland, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, United States. Maybe Estonia/Germany could surprise on the week. Sweden/Norway would be up there too, but the teams they are sending Rønning/Bræden instead of Skaslien/Nedregotten, Westman/Ahlberg instead of De Val/Errikson, Wrana/Wrana, or Edin/Hasselborg. The Italian team of Constantini/Arman isn’t a bad pairing, but in my opinion Constantini/Mosaner would have stronger medal chances.
