  1. Liam Brearley out for the remainder of the season, missing out on the Olympics.
  2. Short track team has been announced. https://www.instagram.com/p/DSYCI5_jv4I/?img_index=10&igsh=NmN1a2x5Z2NkMzJ0 No surprises.
  3. It was a shootout actually, he would've had hammer if it went to an extra end. So not ideal, but can't read too much into it.
  4. Ski Cross WC Arosa Women Gold- Sandra Naeslund Silver- Daniela Maier Bronze- Fanny Smith Men Gold- Reece Howden Silver- Johannes Aujesky Bronze- David Mobaerg Full Results
  5. Gold for Reece Howden at the Arosa WC!
  6. If there's no Canadians in the women's big final at the Olympics, I don't know if I can bother watching it. Normally I don't mind it, but it's so boring seeing Naeslund win and win.
  7. Hoffos down And wheeled off in a stretcher, the injuries continue…
  8. Good news and bad news from the World Cup qualifications. Marielle Thompson and Kristofer Mahler are back and advanced through the qualifications, Mahler in a solid 8th! Thompson just barely in 16th. The bad news, Schmidt and Phelan both failed to qualify for the quarterfinals. Embarrassing.
  9. @Topicmaster1010 @intoronto are you somewhat familiar with Amelia Wells, Maximillian Hollmann, and Tom Stephen? Were they good as juniors? Do they have previous WCs/WCHs? First time I'm hearing their names.
  10. Wow, a huge 7th place finish for Taylor Austin in men’s four-man at the Lillehammer WC!
  11. Team Kleiter lost in the final of the Western Showdown to Mouat in a nail-biter. Great result though, definitely a team to keep an eye on for the upcoming Olympic quads. Still very young team.
  12. I’m still experiencing issues on all my devices @Sindo Edit: It’s working again never mind
  13. I forgot about Koana/Aoki, if they qualify it's 9/10
  14. Snowboard Cross WC Cervinia Mixed Team Gold- Great Britain 1 (Huw Nightingale/Charlotte Bankes) Silver- Italy 1 (Lorenzo Sommariva/Michaela Moioli) Bronze- France 1 (Aidan Chollet/Chloe Trespeuch) Bankes during the team events, she's unstoppable she can make back any gap. Curious as to which one of the Chollet's, Bozzolo, Surget, Tomas won't be selected for the French team. Full Results
  15. Moisan also with a top 10 finish, 9th!
  16. Big Air WC Steamboat Women Gold- Miyabi Onitsuka (174.00) Silver- Eu Seungyun (173.25) Bronze- Ally Hickman (162.25) First career WC podium for Seungyun and Hickman! Nice 4th for Pelchat maybe she can make the final in Milano-Cortina, we'll see. Men Gold- Hiroto Ogiwara (180.25) Silver- Kira Kimura (179.25) Bronze- Oliver Martin (174.25) Full Results
  17. Parallel Giant Slalom WC Cortina d'Ampezzo Women Gold- Sabine Payer Silver- Kaylie Buck Bronze- Zuzana Maderova First WC podium for Buck! Men Gold- Aaron March Silver- Benjamin Karl Bronze- Maurizio Bormolini Full Results
  18. The competition is so tight that it’s hard to say if they’ll win a medal at the Olympics yet, but this is a step towards that and they’re definitely in contention. I think Mosaner/Constantini are the favourites for gold, having not lost as a partnership. Then Dodds/Mouat, Wrana/Wrana, Schwaller/Schwaller, Kaldvee/Lill, Peterman/Gallant, Thiesse/Dropkin, and Gill/Hewitt (if they qualify) in some order.
  19. Snowboard Cross WC Cervinia Women Gold- Lea Casta Silver- Michaela Moioli Bronze- Josie Baff Men Gold- Jonas Chollet Silver- Aidan Chollet Bronze- Adam Lambert First WC podium for Jonas, and it's a victory! Full Results
  20. And now a 6th place finish for them at the Park City WC! Wow
  21. Big Air WC Steamboat Women Gold- Naomi Urness (156.25) Silver- Kateryna Kotsar (152.50) Bronze- Ruiyi Yang (148.50) First WC win and third podium for Urness in her 3rd career WC! (although if I may nitpick, her second score isn’t normally enough for a win…) Men Gold- Troy Podmilsak (182.50) Silver- Konnor Ralph (179.50) Bronze- Luca Harrington (172.25) Full Results
  22. YESSSSSSSSS, I’m so happy for her meteoric rise! Silver, bronze, and now a gold im her first three WCs
  23. 6th for Hallie Clarke in women’s skeleton at the Lillehammer WC!
