  1. Vettel & Raikkonen have apparently flown back to Europe already. Victoria PM says fans will not be allowed to attend the race. FIA says they can't cancel the race on their own if there are at least 12 cars present. 6 teams are doing work in the garage. V8 Supercars aka the support races are scheduled to go ahead. The shitshow continues. FP1 is set to start in 2 hours time...
  2. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has tested positive. Watch out for Premier League getting canned next.
  3. Mixed relays count for the Nations Cup. Polish men need to fend off Estonia for the fourth athlete quota (the all-important 17th place in the standings). We lost it in the very last race last season so it's not anti-climatic for some of the lesser nations!
  4. Like nobody remembers AMP missed the 1976 WOG? Don't think so
  5. I believe back then you could only bet on the points over/under? Not on who actually wins the game?
  6. I checked on YT. It was 111 straight wins Mississippi State snapped it in 2017 Semi-Finals
  7. The only time I noticed this was when UConn won like 120 games in a row and someone actually beat them in the March Madness Other than that I have no clue what's going on there.
  8. BBC's Andrew Benson now says he's been told the race will be called off! BBC vs Sky Sports drama. Someone got it wrong
  9. MF pips Jacquelin for 2nd but still over 20 secs. behind JTB. No smiles today.
  10. Sky Sports reports the Australian GP will go ahead! (minus McLaren ofc) This is a true Bernie Ecclestone-like decision!
  11. JTB really took his time before the prone... and hits 5/5.
  12. I didn't watch cross country so I can't tell
  13. Background music in full force! With no crowd that sure sounds weird
  14. Obviously Pays Bas doesn't follow ski jumping much. It's different in Poland. Walter Hofer and his sidekick Miran Tepes were riding on the fans' nerves for years due to their dubious decisions of allowing jumpers to compete in strange weather conditions. Tepes stepped from his post two years ago and Hofer was long overdue to get the hell out as well. Sandro Pertile will be the new FIS ski jumping director from next season.
  15. Everyone was tired of Walter Hofer many moons ago. Good riddance.
  16. The remainder of the Raw Air and the rest of the ski jumping World Cup season (Sky Flying WCh in Planica) has been cancelled.
  17. Men's sprint race will go ahead in ca. 50 minutes - albeit without spectators. Kontiolahti is a pretty remote location in first place so I suppose the entire weekend will go ahead like planned.
  18. The four Haas team members have tested negative.
  19. McLaren has pulled out of the Australian GP after one of its team members tested positive for COVID. First free practice starts in 13 hours. I just don't see them cancelling the whole event though,
  20. The health minister said he expects the number to rise to 1,000 within the next 7 days already...
  21. No surprise, the Ski Flying WCh in Planica are rumoured to be cancelled as well. I read about this first and thought that means Kranjska Gora is screwed. Sure enough...
  22. Olympic Games is the biggest shark in the pool. Everyone else has to move for that. 1972 hostage crisis didn't hurt the Olympics credibility, several boycotts didn't hurt it either and you think a coronavirus delay hurts it? No frickin' way! Since even USA wants to host the Olympics again (hello 2028) then it's all fine and dandy with its credibility IMO
  23. All these events would be booted out for the Olympics, World Games in USA in a different month than July? That's a DOA since July is the only month where only baseball remains a viable competition. WG would be totally irrelevant during NBA playoffs or the football season.
  24. Unless Livio Magoni discovers another plot by the American course setters!
