  1. Wiesiolek equals his PB - 4,90. Maybe he can finish in the Top 10 after all?
  2. Haratyk is dealing with a finger swelling since early September. He basically throws off four fingers. It's on him and not the conditions.
  3. Thiam didn't even bother to take the third throw. Clearly the elbow is an issue. Meanwhile Haratyk's finger is an issue too. He might struggle to even make the final.
  4. Thiam 48,04. You can call the competition off...
  5. KJT 43,93 PB. It's looking good for the BBC hype!
  6. But Doha & the entire country is just one huge desert anyway?
  7. We have a number of guys over 22m and several other well over 21,50 this season so the Q standard here seems extremely generous tbh. If you can't throw 20,90 you're basically a modern day scrub.
  8. Well, I didn't pick Mayer to win any medal so I just waited for this injury to derail his event like the whole season already. My podium was Warner - Kaul - Victor
  9. No way Mayer does anything in the PV with that hamstring.
  10. 120 point swing for KJT in the long jump. So she leads by 216 ahead of the javelin. Thiam really needs that 15 meter cushion in the JV and that might not be good enough. 10 meters is 200 pts.
  11. KJT 6,77, Thiam 6,35 in the second round. That's +136 pts for KJT.
  12. KJT 6,32, Thiam 6,25 in the first jump.
  13. Papachristou is injured and Knyazeva suffered a stress fracture during national champs in mid-September. She's actually in Doha as a spectator.
  14. Wolfgang Perner (biathlon) has died aged 52 after long illness (probably cancer). He was involved in the doping scandal at 2006 WOG together with W.Rottmann.
  15. It seems like his left foot stepped out so it was a foul IMO.
  16. I suppose she has UK citizenship now too? Quite handy given the Brexit mess
  17. Mayer looks to be done here. Hamstring seems to be the issue.
  18. Kazmirek stumbles in the hurdles and is OUT!
  19. Meanwhile Ortega's appeal was rejected:
  20. They said Halasz achieved that result in R1 and he would have approached the rest of the competition differently had he known it was a failure. Polish team agreed that awarding two bronze medals was the best solution and IAAF concurred.
  21. Shubenkov is a former World Champion, his silver isn't a miracle Btw, Wojciech Nowicki has been awarded bronze medal since Halasz's 78,18m throw has been proved to be overstepped in the circle. Since the protest was lodged after the competition ended, he gets to keep his medal too.
