  1. Bengals vs Bills will not be resumed this week which suddenly throws a wrench into what happens with the AFC #1 seed for the playoffs. If commissioner declares the game void teh it's anyone's guess whether Bills or Chiefs will get a bye in the wild card round.
  2. Yeah, I see Zhao Xintong has also been suspended
  3. MNF game between Bengals & Bills has been stopped after Bills player Damar Hamlin passed out on the field. Could be cardiac arrest...
  4. Word is Enzo Fernandez will move to Chelsea for 120+ million Euro. @konig@LDOG
  5. Bogataj suffered a torn ACL in the left knee so she had no choice but to end the season. She tore ACL in the right knee in December 2019 already. And yeah, even Polish media reported she wanted to end her career after 2022 and if World Champs weren't held in Slovenia then she wouldn't come back this season. I suppose we might have seen the last of her too which is a shame given her age.
  6. First Top 10 victory for Linda Noskova who takes down Daria Kasatkina in Adelaide R1.
  7. Human bodies officially permitted to be used as fertilizer in New York state. Hey, ecology needs to make more money after all https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-64140571
  8. Do even Welsh people cheer for Gerwyn Price? All-time asshole if you ask me...
  9. Ursa Bogataj suffered a knee injury after a fall in the first round and this looks to be serious...
  10. @Giovanni Gianni CattaneoI don't think many people watch rugby that much to begin with. And the Wembanyana hype, well, after the Zion hype everyone just doesn't take much from the high school/college hype anymore. Way too many total busts in the NBA draft in the last few years to get excited before he actually enters the league.
  11. India is ready to bid for 2036 Olympics. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/more-sports/others/india-ready-to-bid-for-2036-olympics-anurag-thakur/articleshow/96551688.cms So the usual questions that people brought up recently: 1) Weather. I assume it will be too hot & humid to host Olympics in July/August so welcome September/October. 2) The conflict in Kashmir still going on? I suppose nobody cares? 3) Caste system still practised despite technically out-lawed. Human right lobbyists should love this? Or not? I suppose nobody cares either?

  13. Mikaela Shiffrin sweeps the Semmering round winning the slalom as well. Paula Moltzan in 2nd place! Lena Duerr in 3rd ahead of Vlhova & Holdener. Zrinka Ljutic in 6th.
  14. Top 3 unchanged after Round 2. Granerud won by 13.4 pts.
  15. Granerud leads ahead of Żyła & Kubacki after Round 1. Belshaw in as LL in 19th place
  16. Ipcioglu beat Eisenbichler in the first KO pair
  17. Maryna Gąsienica-Daniel ties her best World Cup finish with 6th place
  18. Three time NFL Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt will retire at the end of the season.
  19. Andrzej Iwan passed away at the age of 63. He was a member of the 1978 & 1982 football World Cup squad.
  20. China has lifted the COVID quarantine requirement for foreign arrivals starting January 8th, 2023. This might impact sports too with tennis in particular very probable to resume tournaments there (on the women's side in particular, I believe Australian Open has the most Chinese women qualified for a Grand Slam main draw ever). https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-64097497
  21. Yeah, that makes no sense since he was Czech to begin with. EAA recognizes Sergey Litvinov's Russian NR in hammer since Yuri Sedykh was Ukrainian but you'd have to check around if Russians do the same?
  22. Nathaniel Hackett has been fired as HC of Denver Broncos. I suppose that ultimate clown show yesterday was too much not to wait until the end of the season.
  23. Buccaneers beat Cardinals 19-16 in overtime after another 4th quarter comeback (they were down 16-6 with ten minutes left). This means if they beat Panthers next week they will clinch the division with one game to go. This would almost 100% guarantee a wild card match with Cowboys since #4 & #5 seeds in NFC are basically impossible to change anymore (unless Eagles somehow lose their last two games).
  24. Titans lost to the league-worst Texans yesterday so AFC South will be decided in Week 18. LA Rams blew up the Broncos suckers 51-14. The Russell Wilson thing is getting uglier the longer it goes. LA Chargers can clinch a playoff spot if they beat the lowly Colts tomorrow.
