Nice win against the Netherlands, the QF should be almost certainly secured now. But we need to play better if we want to qualify.

quarter-final :FRA :HUN

I think in women :USA and :FRA are sure. For third place, with my favourite :HUN in a bad quarter final, i think is a big fight with  :JPN , :AUS, :ITA:ESP for last place

No it's not decided. Estonia beat the Netherlands and a win against Hungary will mean France vs Estonia, Advantage Estonia

I would be happy to have a France Hungary quarter-final.

:ITA is already out and we have to beat the host :AUT to advance, which is not going to be easy at all.

And we won! It was easier than expected, but still a long way to get the quota.

Yeah... France is really strong. We will need to pull off a miracle in the QF if we get there. It's ridiculous that possibly the Top2 teams of this tournament are in the same group.

I have huge respect for everyone who is capable to watch women’s basketball for more than a couple of minutes. The amount of easy layups/floaters missed is insane. Also the Spanish number 10 looks more like someone who ate a professional athlete than a professional athlete herself.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

So far we have done what we should for the qualification, but I can't shake the feeling France is stronger than us, we were a bit sloppy in the last few matches. But at least it looks like we might be the favorites for the second tournament if we won't qualify tomorrow.

Right, the Dutch women need Belarus to beat Estonia....and by scoring no more than 17 points....and while not letting Estonia score more than 12 points...

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
