2. Have the Olympics not take place in the middle of a pandemic in a country that has unusually strict restrictions

 

I mean even a 500 level event (or that hybrid 1000/500 points they gave at prior Olympics) would be enough to encourage more people to stay. Really at this point there's no money and no points and Olympic gold isn't enough of a draw for what is essentially "working for free" for a week.

Just cancel the event or maybe ITF will change their mind quickly and will give points for competing.
