I know there are two Tripartite Commission places available but... among the eligible countries only Sri Lanka had their representatives at Continental Championships within this cycle. I mean, it's not a sine qua non condition, but still says there is 99,9% of possibility of reallocation of these places for ranking.

From my understanding they could not compete the jumping portion as they were not allowed to? I know Bolivia was in the same situation in 2015 for the Pan American Games. Is that a thing?

On a side note does anyone from Canada have a chance to qualify?

Unlikely, our highest ranked person is Kelly Fitzsimmons who is currently 68th, but she likely needs to break into the top 30 in order to have a chance.

She needs to medal at World Champs now - which shall be enough points for ranking quota, but there's still a direct quota to get there.

Before the World Cup Final and the WCh, these are the nations who would get quotas from the Olympic ranking in the women's competition:

:GBR  :HUN  :RUS  :POL  :GER  :TUR  :MEX  :ITA

And the next 5 spots in case of reallocation:

:KOR  :JPN  :EGY  :FRA  :GEO

I would say that she still has a chance, she might not even need good results at the last two event if the reallocations will be favorable for her.

Well this sport is dead in Canada. From having the leading athlete in the women's competition with one event in Rio to no one qualified, sad.

Besides handball, this will be the only sport Canada does not partake in.

I want to be Canadian, only two sports without any athletes. I must improve my English and French and moved abroad. Please find me job :)

    • Exactly. UEFA tried this pan-European hosting idea with Euro 2020 and it proved to be a disaster not only from a logistics view. Safe to say that idea won't be brought back for decades again.
    • I haven't read anything about that   meanwhile many skiers were complaining about the snow and the different consistency of it between the sectors of the track   Odermatt was quite polite but very tough at the same time on that...
    • we already have something like that...it's the regular world championships!   I mean, if we spread the Games all around the Globe, we completely lose the fascination of a single great multi-disciplinary event in a single place (more or less, given that some sports are always held far away from the actual Olympic City)   it's just another thing, it's not the Olympic Games anymore   if that's to be the case, I'd rather prefer the single championships to be well spread through the whole year, so to be able to watch the most of them without losing hours of sleep
    • Reportedly the light was also bad.
    • and  Pietro Zazzi also had a bad crash, ending up with broken tibia and fibula in his right leg    a few more skiers also went down Today, but luckily with no injuries   the different quality and consistence of the snow (and ice) in some points of the track made it very difficult and will be a problem also Tomorrow, when the skiers will have to go full speed
    • Nice! Interesting predictions. Hopefully we'll do even better than 2 bronze medals.
    • Cyprien Sarrazin suffered a major crash training in Bormio. He is conscious, but will need to undergoe surgery to address a brain bleed.
