Very weird time by the italian guy, he improved his PB by more than 3 minutes ...

Let's pray that he will never win any medal!

Women's 100 metres

Laura Müller :GER 11,15 in Rehlingen: https://laportal.net/Competitions/CurrentList/129039/1957

By the way, here are live results for the meeting: https://laportal.net/Competitions/Details/1957 There's quite a good field for such a comparatively small Meeting, not only from Germany but also international.

there's nothing weird...he was already 4th at last year's Europeans and quickly improving...basically this is only his 3rd season within the NT...

and it's not that he won the race with 5 minutes margin over the other competitors...actually, he didn't even win the race and the top 8 are all within a minute or so (77 secs to be precise)...

the time overall is not so significant...if you look at the entire results' list, you can see the Japanese guys at 1h17mins too and a bunch of people at 1h18mins...and if you look at the women's race also, it's obvious that it was a run race and not a race walking competition...probably the judges were still doing their "siesta" at the time of the race...

p.s. however, he improved said PB by "only" 2 minutes and 34 seconds, not "more than 3 minutes"...

Where did you get that information? On the IAAF website it says that his best time before this year was 1:20.51, which would mean that he improved his PB by more than 3 minutes. Did he already go faster than that before last weekend? In the end it doesn't really matter whether he improved his PB by 3 minutes or "only" 2 minutes and 34 seconds. Taking such a huge chunk off your PB in one single race at the age of 27 when you were already close to world class before that is very suspicious in my book.

For reference: A guy improving from 1:20 to 1:17 is roughly equivalent to a woman improving from 11 seconds to 10,6 seconds in the 100 m sprint. If a woman would do that (especially at the age of 27) there would be no doubt in most peoples mind that something fishy was going on.
