OlympicsFan 858 Posted March 10, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 10, 2018 (edited) Does anyone know when the next event will start (i think it's men's 1000 m)? Thanks! An educated guess would say this is in Salt Lake City's local time, where it's 8 hours earlier compared to CET. So my guess would be today's program starts in 35 minutes with the women's 1000m. Dennis 712 Posted March 11, 2018 #17 Share Posted March 11, 2018 Joy Beune skated three Junior World Records this weekend 1.000m: 1:14.21 (previous record: 1:14,95 by Hyun-Yung Kim [2013]) 1.500m: 1:54.21 (previous record: 1:55,14 by Marrit Leenstra [2008]) 3.000m: 3:59.47 (previous record: 3:59,49 by Antoinette de Jong [2013])
Dennis 712 Posted March 11, 2018 #18 Share Posted March 11, 2018 Other results that sort of surprised me: Min-Seok Kim, Olympic bronze medallist on the 1.500m, only finished in 3rd position here on the 1.500m 1,5 seconds behind Allan Dahl Johansson and 0,5 seconds behind David la Rue. Koki Kubo skated a new Junior World Record of 1.07,76 on the 1.000m, which is now also the new Japanese senior NR. All-round final standings: Boys: Allan Dahl Johansson Tyson Langelaar Francesco Betti Min-Seok Kim Paul Galczinsky Gabriel Odor Do-Hyung Lee Kaleb Muller Tjerk de Boer Casey Dawson Girls: Joy Beune Jutta Leerdam Elisa Dul Béatrice Lamarche Karina Akhmetova Lea-Sophie Scholz Ji-Woo Park Ekaterina Kosheleva Chae-Eun Park (born in February 2003) Ragne Wiklund
heywoodu 15,135 Posted March 11, 2018 #19 Share Posted March 11, 2018 David la Rue was fighting for overall gold (or at least silver), but had 'a Sven Kramer' in the 5k (wrong exchange) and got DQ'ed .
