Let's start watching dressage and don't understand nothing :cheer:

Well, there is a trending score displayed at the screen during the whole test, so that should help. :yes

:GER Krajewski & Chipmunk (a horse named "Chipmunk", I know) are the new eventing leaders with 19.9. That's 9.5 ahead of 2nd!!

9.5 penalties cover athletes from 2nd to 18th ranked combinations...

By the way, did the scoring system in Eventing change? In Rio, the best result after Dressage were 37 penalty points and now Krajewski has 19,9?

Yes, the dressage coefficient has been removed, so the scores are now tighter. Krajewski's score in old money would be 29.9 (19.9 x 1.5).

Thanks. Still an excellent result. Do you think this is fair or is this a disadvantage for those best in Dressage?

I don't think it really is. Cross-country should be the most important, and there are times when dressage leaders are milking their scores beyond belief. Now there's less room to play safe.

I'm more annoyed about show jumping still giving 4 penalties, it can get very influential...

Fabulous test for Boyd & Tsetserleg! Everybody expected Krajewski to do well, but nobody expected this from Boyd.

Btw, Tsetserleg is apparently named after a city in :MGL Mongolia, what is so random and cool. :d

I felt that the dressage factor was to lessen the impact from jumping. Maybe they should have added a factor to cross-country instead of removing it from dressage (it was the least important portion between the three, among the top riders).

Redemption for :GEO Vaughan & Marquis.

They first appeared at 2014 WEG, where Vaughan retired after Marquis spooked at everything. Then they came back at 2017 Europeans, where they were elmiinated after Marquis spooked at everything.
