Uber Cup Semfinals

Saina Nehwal lost the 3rd set 17-21 . At one point she was leading 13-11

India lost the 1st match 1-2.

The good news is that it seems Saina Nehwal is back in form before Rio. She is peaking at the right time.

India went 1-2-3 in the Women's 200m, D. Chand 23.52, S. Nanda 23.55, J.H. Manjunath 23.92. Wind was -1.4, not great conditions for sprinting. Olympic standard is 23.20

Australian coach revealed he has already lined up a competition for Indian throwers in Belgium on May 28, and three more meets there in June. “There are competitions within Europe that become available within two to five days which depend on withdrawals and late invitations. This is the dynamics of world level in track and field, with at times 40-50 entries for 12 positions,” said Calvert.

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
    • FIFA announced the stadium and time for each match   for  Iran, it will be 2 matches in LA (and not just 1) and 1 in Seattle and luckily we avoided playing in Canada. absolutely nothing against the country, but there are just too many douchebag Iranian groups in Vancouver trying to mix everything with their stupid politics. it's better to stay away from them.   that can happen in US too but less likely. playing in LA is more like playing at home, at least I hope so. 2022 Qatar was a disaster from our point of view, hopefully this one remains only about football.
