based on Bein Sport Commentator , 2 Koreans reached this round before in other GSs

 

edit : one of them is Lee Hyung Taek who reached 4th round at US open in 2000, 2007

Yes, Chung is the 2nd Korean to do it. The frist was Lee Hyung-taik in 2007 Us Open

Kerber dominated 1st set against Sharapova , 6-1 and 3 breaks , very poor start from Sharapova

Berdych played very well but Del Potro looked like he could barely bother to move. Unfortunately he doesn't have fitness level required for a Grand Slam anymore, it's a pity.
