A lot of the problems are 'small' things like certain malls being turned into places one might prefer not going, or bus lines (mostly around those places where refugees are kept and of which the English term has apparently slipped out of my mind) seeing violent people so often, drivers simply started refusing to go there and schools told parents to bring their kids (especially girls) by car instead of letting them take the bus, because the risks are just too high.

Right, but I would imagine that’s not all caused by immigration. It may be worsened to a degree by it, but caused? I don’t know immigration is a complex issue that not probably never going solve, especially since we can’t even solve a thing like climate change.

You what starts a good, civil conversation? Telling someone their super naive of the start. I’m well aware of the true nature of religion. There’s a good reason I’m agnostic. However, is a distinction to be made between reality and fiction. I am a democratic socialist. I want what’s best for people, so I will always fight for the people. It’s not that I’m naive, it’s that religion took me to dark places, and I truly believe that it can be improved. The same goes for government. As for journalism, I have to disagree with you. Journalism is about the truth until big corporations get involved and lure journalists in with better pay. At that point those journalists no longer write journalism, they write propaganda.

Coming from a former communist country I can definitely say sociallism is not the way to go. USA has never experienced sociallist rule hence why it's so popular. One can argue Democtratic Party should change their name already. As for journalists, the days of them simply providing information are long, long gone. It's all about influencing society and having power over people's will. From Hearst to Murdoch, it's all about power. There is no such thing as independent media anymore IMO. Everyone follows an agenda one way or another.

When did journalists last 'simply provide information'? Because it wasn't in the past 200 years or so.

I think there is a difference between communism and socialism, at least what I adhere to, that people commonly misunderstand. Now my political beliefs are complicated, I believe in peace, but vouch for war to gain it. My political leaning is anarchist, but I lean socialist. I’m pro-life, but I vote pro-choice. The one thing I can figure out about that is that I want to people to be able to live free, happy, and fearless. That’s obviously impossible, but weight the implications of every policy I choose to support based off a of that.

As journalist I do express my opinion, but I attempt to give a warning and most of the time express the main parts of my opinion or sarcasm in brackets as you may have noticed from my posts on the form.

Taimamen Square Protests, Sudan Uprising, the discovery of concentration camps, Watergate, etc. Journalists do important work. The problem is that they aren’t paid as much as they deserve, or given the credit they deserve, so they resolve to selling themselves out because at least their valued by someone that way.

What’s happening to journalism right now is sad, but I think it will counterbalance soon, or I hate to think a world without people looking for the truth.

Election day here in Denmark. Looks like a new government with a socialdemocratic prime minister, but a lot is unknown as no matter who wins, it will be some tough negotiations.

So, for you the red block will have the majority in the Folketinget?

I'm not a fan of the block thinking, but yeah. The reds and Radikale Venstre looks like the majority. But we'll have to wait and see. Polls have been wrong before.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
